We had the pleasure of staying at Ikraam Inn during our trip to Srinagar. From the moment we arrived we were received with the warmest of welcome, a pot of freshly local brewed tea and valuable recommendations of what not to miss in the city. They definitely do know the best spots in town! We were greeted by Rashid and his Son, Ilham, who were in my opinion the best hosts you could ask for. This is a family run B&B which makes it very special as they treat all guests like family. It is probably the one thing we enjoyed most about this trip. There was wifi available in rooms and and bathrooms were equipped with toiletries and fresh towels. The room was spacious and I must say that theyre specialty foam beds will guarantee you a good nights rest. If you are craving a home-cook Kashmiri meal, they can provide local dishes at your request for dinner prepared by the very talented cook - Sweethi. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals prepared and ended up having dinners there throughout our stay - I recommend the Lamb Saag and Tomato Paneer! Free Breakfast is provided and it was absolutely scrumptious- you could choose from a variety of dishes to include Aloo Pratha to a good ol omelete. They even provide a freshly brewed chai tea which was a great way to start the day. Going to Srinagar would not be complete without visiting either Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam or Yusmarg. We were able to arrange a full day tour to Yusmarg with Ilham as our guide. Ilham, being a history major, was very knowledgeable to the history and culture of Kashmir and spoke flawless English. I highly recommend using his services! Overall, it was such a pleasure to stay in Ikraam Inn. We arrived as guests and left as family. We will not forget the kindness theyve shown us the past few days. We couldnt have asked for a better experience in Srinagar. If its available, I would book this place in a heartbeat and not look elsewhere. You can trust me on this.

If you want to be at home when you are away from home then Ikraam Inn is the place. Ikraam has a beautiful property in the heart of Srinagar. Rooms are well maintained, warm & cozy with all required amenities. To top it all on should not miss the food Ikraam's mom makes - Tomato chicken, Rajma, tomato paneer and the best one Kashmiri Saag. And to die for is the hot tea and Kahwa. And don't hesitate to hit a conversation, you will definitely love talking to them and know more about Kashmir and surroundings.

So far this was our best stay in India. This place is owned by an exceptionally friendly kashmiri family and they made sure our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. Kashmir was always on my bucket list and I am glad I finally went. If you want to experience the real kashmir this is the place to go, warm friendly family who is willing to go out of their way, home cooked kashmiri cuisine and guidance for sightseeing to arranging everything to your liking. The room was comfy and both room and toilet was very clean. We were extremely surprised by the great hospitality provided by Ilham and his mother. The driver cum guide Mr Munir arranged by the hotel was really helpful and we absolutely loved him. Highly recommend this place for a awesome kasmiri experience
