Your stay in Kashmir is incomplete without stay in houseboat. Inshallah houseboat is one of the oldest houseboat (approx. 50 yrs old) on Nigeen lake and is absolutely worth the stay. Location is serene, warm and courteous staff and it has it all to make your stay an absolute memorable one. I would love to visit again..Inshallah

Those who want to enjoy the glory of Kashmir in a serene natural environment and bask in the luxury of a Kashmiri house boat, the houseboat Inshallah of Nigeen Lake is just perfect for them. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowdy Dal Lake, the view of the hills and the murmuring waters of the Nigeen lake is amazing. If desired, you can visit the locality and the local market at Molvi Point, a 10 minutes' walk from the house boat. The local people are quite welcoming to the tourists. If you are keen on enjoying leisurely hours, time oozes by lazily listening to the gentle waves or watching the local vendors plying through the waters of the lake, perhaps by exchanging pleasantries with them or if you wish, by collecting souvenirs to take back home. The best thing is nobody forces you to buy from them, you can just appreciate their art, artistry and craftsmanship. The houseboat is decorated with beautiful traditional Kashmiri handmade wall hangings, artifacts and tapestries. The furniture boasts of traditional Kashmiri wood curvings and designs. Our trip was in the summer months, 2019. On arrival, Tariq bhai warmly welcomed us with the traditional kahwa tea. He was always there at our every beck and call. The owner Riaz Bhai sincerely attended us every evening during our four day-stay. He helped us with all the necessary information and suggestions. He can arrange for a car or a shikara if you wish. However, we were unfortunate as the time of our visit was a little inopportune due to the sudden political situation, but the stay in the houseboat Inshallah was exceptional and worth remembering through a lifetime.

This houseboat is on the Nigeen lake which is a less busy lake. Set on the banks of this lake Inshallah houseboat overlooks the lake with colourful bobbing shikaras. The rooms are extremely clean and have a scent of cedar. Mr. Wangroos hospitality is very warm and worth experiencing. Definitely opt for dinner on-board followed by a moon-light shikara ride. Would give this experience a 5-star rating.
