The rates are w/o AC, so they charge extra Rs 600 for AC which doesn't work in some rooms or on power backup. They also charge Rs 300 additional for geyser which is dysfunctional on power backup. They charge Rs 400 for drivers accommodation and 20% for additional guests which doesn't include basics. That's not all, there is no bottled water available in the rooms, no complementary b/fast. They use the smelly dining room as a reception. Though they have room service from 7 AM to 2 PM and 5 PM to 10 PM don't ask for tea as the chef doesn't wake up till 8 AM and you cannot get evening tea till 6 PM. Of course the tea making facility is not there in the room either.I was quite happy to note the credit card machine was not working as they charge 2% more in that case. Otherwise the resort is clean and looks good in the lap of nature but the owner / mgt is very unprofessional ....

The Resort is about ten minutes walk to the beach. Most noteworthy is the huge geographical expanse with manicured lawns, garden with abundant flowers, paved pathways, fruit orchards complete with wild birds as well as farm birds. When the farm birds chicken, turkeys and ducks are let out in the open in the morning it is a sight to see. It appears that the proprietor takes keen interest in maintaining the environment. Wish he does not turn commercial! There are independent cottages and a building with few rooms. The rooms are adequately appointed but not luxurious. A balcony is attached to individual rooms. The bathrooms are small. It appears that a lot of investments have been made to procure expensive fittings but not enough care is given to maintain these. The dining space could have been better plastic furniture is not acceptable. The quality of food is excellent but portions are really small for the price. Tourist pressure has not yet spoiled the pristine environment of Tajpur. This resort is still customer friendly and a nice place to chill for few days.

Tajpur offers a varied variety of stay options but I found Mallickaa to be best among them..at least lodging wise. This property is well maintained, build on over 10 acres, rooms are well kept and well furnished.Compared to other hotels in Tajpur no doubt Mallickaa is best. This is truly a resort, complete with well maintained gardens,a big pond, variety of tress,Turkeys,Ducks, pigeons and swings for entertainment for guests etc.But a big draw back is their slow service and over priced food.Since Tajpur is not Digha, tourists donot find good restaurants outside Hotel and the food you get in the shanties in Tajpur beaches is not very tempting. As a result you are left with no option but order at Mallickaa. A plate of Pomfet curry costs Rs200. A plate of boiled egg consisting 2 eggs is priced at Rs20(Mind you this is well inside Bengal and not Delhi/Rajasthan or any fancy tourist spot ).As we are told Tajpur still doesn't have electricity and banking on this information(I'm not sure whether this is at all true) Mallickaa charges rate for geyser separately on room rent.I found this insane. Be very careful when you pay the full and final bill. They made innumerable mistakes in food bill.Asked us to pay in cash.Thankfully we had cash with us else we had to search for an ATM in this god forsaken place where is there is nothing except the sea.

We went in a group of 13 ppl for the weekend prior to X-mas. We were informed that Credit card is being used in this property and all billings are within the govt prescribed rules. To our surprise, we had to literally push for hours to get our bill from the manager against which the Manager was not willing to accept credit card citing various excuses like EDC Machine Not Working for few days, Network Problem etc etc. On our regular force at their city office and site manager the Credit Card was accepted majorly because we denied to leave the room until the bill is cleared as we had a kid of 1 yr old with us and did not want to stand in the property where mosquitoes and fly are in abundance. Whilst the credit card was accepted we were force to pay a charge of 1.5%, thankfully we had some knowledge on the charges even if it is levied at all on customers otherwise we were asked to pay 2%. Moreover, Air conditions were not working in multiple rooms and the problem was not sorted out even when we left after 2 nights stay. Food Prices are exorbitantly high (1 bottle of cold drinks - 500 ml for 50 Rs, 1 bottle of water is 40 Rs and no proper bill is also provided. Above all the odds of paying too much on food and drinks, the place was customer friendly and the property is pretty big with greenery in abundance. The property is still developing and so their attitude and behaviour. As we enjoyed the place and the rooms were comfort, I am rating this property 3 out of 5.

I landed at this place on 22nd Aug 2017 & picked up the 2nd floor room which has a panoramic view of the entire resort. Ideal place for a idle winter season. The staffs may not be well trained but have their try to render a better service. The place is full of greenery & has huge space with lake type facility. The food served is good but costly. The dining arena has no ambience at all. But you can have your refreshment near the small lake. Tajpur beach is loosing its naturality & gearing up for Viswa-bangla project which will be too artificial. This govt. & its predecessor govt. has failed miserably to contain the sea erosion & today is up for different construction in the beach to demonstrate their credibility. Lots of 'jhow' trees are uprooted for this project. Tajpur today has lost its virginity & tourist will bar them from going as this project will take 2 yrs to complete. The beach is thoroughly untidy with all construction devils being scattered.
