Extremely unprofessional behaviour, food too pricey and not upto the mark, the rooms are small, the bathroom walls are stained...But some positive points are natural greenery all around, the gardens are well maintained

I found this retreat an ill maintained resort amidst a wonderful atmosphere. We a group of 15 booked this resort during the last monsoon (mid August to be precise) for a single day. Although it was a grand weekend trip for us, the only spoilsport was the resort, starting from the ridiculous, embarrassing as well as insulting management rules (we had to pay the entire room tariff even before checking in and had to sign a list of belongings of each rooms including bed sheets, towels, ashtrays etc), size of the bathroom was not even 30 sq.ft. (we booked the 2nd best category room) fitted with water stained and low grade bathroom fittings, linens not in good condition, low light and the Air-conditioning system does not work in case of load shedding or power failure though the fan and light works. Overall a property with zero hospitality but with great potential. The rest depends on the management.

Perhaps my 4th or 5th visit to this place. Was full of expectations. Sadly, the rooms aren't maintained properly. The A.C. kept giving trouble all along. The TVs are clearly outdated and need replacement. The pond was dry- some cleaning activity perhaps. Little disheartened I must say.

Exactly a year after I visited Mallicka Resort in 2017, I visited it once again. The first visit was plagued by 1. Torrid behaviour of the management staff. 2. Bad and not value for money food. 3. Air conditioner not working all the time But since there is a dearth of "reliable" resorts in the area, we stayed at the same place yet again. And there were some positive takeaways this time: 1. Air conditioner worked for most of the time. 2. Staff behavior was okayish -not unacceptable like the previous time. Besides, I heard that the previous manager was fired/left job. 3. The issues of mosquitoes, insects disturbed the sleep the previous time didn't happen. Negatives 1. The lake that was one of the prime attractions within the resort had dried up. 2. Food quality and price remained dismal. But since we had food in the beach shacks most of the time (try the country chicken, pomfret curry or fried fishes) we never really regretted. 3. The 'slimy' behavior of the management staff to make a quick profit like selling a bottle of mineral water instead of regular water remained. The photos provided by me are from the resort garden. In any case, I will rate this years experience as AVERAGE.

We visited this resort on 7th July 2018. We booked the resort through Nomadic Weekends as Tajpur Eco Resort. Google Map does not show existance of Tajpur Eco Resorts. As such I asked Nomadic Weekends to inform the exact location, but they just gave the telephone number of the resort manager. The resort manage asked us to reach Mallicka resort. The guard of Mullicka resort had no knowledge of Tajpur Eco Resort. When we met the manager, he said that Mallicka resort and Taj Eco resort are same. I think that booking Mallicka resort as Taj Eco resort is ethically wrong. The resort is very badly maintained. AC did not have temperature control. Bad sheets were torn. They gave only one blanket. They asked Rs 400 extra for driver accomodation. As the fan was not working our driver did not use that, still they wre demanding the charges. Nomadic Weekend did not book the room only. They booked it only with all meals. Nearly all the hotel with rooms only provide at least one litre bottled water free with one room. In this resort even with package with full meals, they have sent separate bill for two litre of water. The package with meal of Rs 5700.00 + Gst for two persons is not at all worth.
