The most peaceful, relaxing and quaint resort we have had the pleasure of staying. Check in and out was painless. The location is very near to beach and has lots of greenery around .Food was excellent. All staffs were patient, courteous, and friendly.

I had a very nice experience in Abasar. Staffs were helpful. We were in a 4 bed AC room. It was decent in size. Toilet was clean. Abasar is close to the beach & you will find lots of greenery around. Hotel also has a restaurant where you can get desi food like home-cooked. Overall tariff was reasonable. I had a complain only regarding the toilet water outlet was not functioning.

I see a lot of negative reviews as well as positive reviews of this property. So let me tell you my part of the experience. We reached there from Digha rail station in the late afternoon. The car was arranged by the hotel at regular cost. We were a large group who occupied 3 AC rooms (7 adults and 2 kids). Remind you that this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel and even though the Manager has a degree of Hotel Management & he does his best, the other staffs are not that professional. They are very friendly though. The rooms are not having uniform experience. Some had king-size bed but some had 2 queen size beds put together to accommodate even more people. The room sizes were varying as well. But surprisingly the rate was the same for all of them. The room service was a bit slow. Since we had kids, they served dinner early upon request. They waived food charges for kids :) Rooms had AC and TV, both of which worked well. The hotel has a large garden at the back side with lot of trees. There is a large lawn in front with slides and swings for the kids. They even had a few hammocks. The beach is only a short walk away through the garden. We enjoyed our stay.

We were a group of 6 families with kids & booked this resort on a friends recommendation. The resort surrounding is very beautiful with loads of trees & a beautiful garden & a pond. The best point of this resort is its location which is very near to the beach. The resort has a road which passes through cashew plantations within its campus & this opens up through a gate to the Tajpur beach. We booked AC Deluxe cottages which were neat & clean & reached there through our booked Traveller which was parked on the premises. There is enough parking space & there is a nice park where children can play & spend time taking a ride on the swings. We arrived there around 12.30 in the afternoon & found 3 rooms were ready & 1 room was not ready which was prepared in another 30 mins. Now coming to the food & the service provided by the support staff, The reason for me rating this place 3 is because of the horrible quality & pathetic taste of the food that they offered. We had booked a package @Rs900 per person for food which includes lunch, evening snacks, dinner & breakfast & lunch for the next day. Although we were offered all types of fish like hilsa, crab, Pomfret, prawns, however, the cook doesn't know how to cook. The rice was not boiled properly & was not edible, there was no salt in any of the food items, the fish was not fried at all & it was like raw fish put inside the curry. Whatever fish you ordered the curry was same, there was no variation. It appeared they had prepared a common curry & just put the raw fish in that curry depending on what you order. The breakfast provided the next morning was equally horrible & the bread slices were so hard that you could use it to play flying saucer. Now coming to the service of the staff, they are reluctant to listen to you. If you ask them to give drinking water or tea in your room they will simply not do so in spite of repeatedly telling them. In the end, we had to travel to the dining area & collect it ourselves which was quite a distance from the cottage. We visited Shankarpur in the evening so by the time we came back at 7.30 pm, the service boys told us that there were not much evening snacks left as it was late & gave us only 1 plate of Chicken pakora although every person was promised 6 pieces at the time of booking. So make sure you are on time else you will miss out on your evening snacks. As this place is full of trees & garden, beware of roaming in the campus at night as there are snakes & frogs which come out in the dark & we saw a snake passing in the campus when it was raining in the evening. Keep your room doors closed else frogs might creep in. Also, carry umbrellas as there is no room service & if it rains you will need it to travel to the dining area for every requirement related to food & water. The service boys will just sit & watch the rain & tell you to go to the kitchen & collect everything that you need. The cottages are spread out in the campus & some are quite far from the kitchen. There are a lot of shacks on the beach so you if want you can also try out the food & evening snacks over there. The shacks prepare customized food as per your instructions & it is cooked infront of you.

The most horrible experience we faced in Abasar Resort, Tajpur. We reached hotel around 5.30 AM from Kolkata The experience seemed to get worsen from the very start itself .at the time of Check In room service staff ordered me to take a 3 hours rest then call for breakfast & Tea. Seeing this unprofessional approach we stunned, Can you imagine? Room service person is worst & he doesnt know how to behave with a Guest. Then we noticed room which doesn't exactly look like a very neat & clean one. The Sofa, bathroom & room table found (with table cover) unclean, It was full damp and the damp smell coming from the room. There was no room light as well as no sunlight passing in the room. AC was functioning properly otherwise we cannot stay at least for two hours. We requested for 3 cup of tea & served by room service staff which was totally cold & may be prepared by last night. Then we walk out for 15 minutes for another option in Tajpur. Then my friend suggests for Tajpur Beach Resort from his past experience of stays & finally we decided to check out from here. Requested the Manager over phone to change the Room or Upgrade the room as we shall be paying the difference amount. Nobody seems to have any interest for the comfort of us. But the manager was very gentle & communicated with over phone very politely & suggested to check out from the room without any harassment. JUST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Avoid this place even if you are not getting any accommodation in Tajpur. The two good things to be mentioned is 1) The place where the resort is good 2) Its very close to Beach & own entrance from the beach.
