I spent the last four days with my wife and 6 year old daughter courtesy of ReadySetTrip.Com at this boutique resort. It's nestled in the forest on the mountainside overlooking the Ganges River. White sand beaches, wildlife, wonderful staff, great food are all combined in a cosy facility that has a distinctive old European flair. I'd usually wake up to a steaming cup of coffee while listening to the roar of the rapids below and watching the clouds move over the mountains in front of me. Morning hikes are a thrill to say the least... A 200m easy hike down to the 'beach' is a great experience. Keep an open eye and and an open ear. Within ten minutes you're at the white sand river Bank. The crisp clean air, reverberating sound of the icy water crashing over the rapids, and the leopard tracks.... (record scratch)... Yup, leopards... It was the highlight of the trip. In the morning light you can see the obvious hive of wildlife activity that occurs each night. It reminds you that this is their territoriy and it's important to respect that. With a common sense approach to your safety, this is by far on of the best experiences I've had in terms of a nature retreat. Feel free to contact me for any details on my stay and on the many things to do when there. Enjoy the pics

We were brilliantly looked after by Himalayan River Runners, Yousuf and his team, on our recent trip to India. From meeting us in Delhi they managed the whole itinerary for our (rather large) group, ensuring we got the most from our experience. Accommodation and food at the Hideaway Lodge was excellent, and we were most pleased to hear the cook was also coming with us on our expedition on the Kali river! Paddling on the Ganges was a privileged experience I won't forget, before we made our way to the Kali. Camping and kayaking each day, enjoying the mountains and wildlife, our raft and kayak guides ensured we were safe, and enjoyed the adventure in equal measure. I will also never forget my special and delicious birthday cake, baked in the embers of the campfire! Thankyou all!

We were four families with children and stayed for 2N3D in 4 rooms. The first problem is that the property doesnot have an attached parking and U have to park almost on the highway (scary) at check in. We informed the manager well in advance that we would like to have lunch with option of non veg and he agreed but to our disappointment we were not served with any non-veg. What all we were served was also bland, raw and bad tasting but we all were very hungry so had to compromise. Then we headed to our rooms where one of the AC and fan was not working in rooms. The bathrooms were very dark and totally done in black tiles. Just few minutes in we were visited by Lizards and huge spiders. Rooms had no TV which is Ok for a change but No Fridge. After inquiry we found that there is no ice machine and even there deep freezer is not working. In the evening we thought of sitting out in the open area for some snacks and drinks but they had no non veg snacks and just two buckets of ice. It took major persuasion and discussion after which we were served with one portion of chilli chicken (Rs. 600) amongst 12 ppl. Even after the delayed service the manager was admant to follow the deadline of 2200 to finish dinner. The dinner served was also bland and dhabba like, chicken curry tasted like boiled chicken thrown in curry. Next day we refused the lunch and were promised by the manager for a chicken boneless main course in dinner which was also not fulfilled. The food was on the same lines of the previous meals, totally were sick of the meals. Only better thing about the meal was dessert on both occasions and the bfasts were simple but Ok as you cant mess in making simplest things like toast, eggs, waffles & fruit. At the checkout their driver brought our cars from there distant parking and as they dint have a parking/porch. Out of our three cars one was parked half on the highway road and there driver left the car in gear and headlights on, which almost lead to a minor accident in which my cars remote key broke and my wife's foot got badly injured. If i was not there to stop the car god knows what could have happened...as my daughter was on the backseat when all this happened. What kind of a driver leaves a stopped car on handbrake in gear and leaves headlights on.?? The only thing the manager could offer was that he would reimburse us the car key replacement cost and driver was not used to modern cars as he drives jeeps......total lack of responsibility. We never got a call from anyone from the hotel to check for our well being.....we paid almost 1 lac+ in total for this stay and this is the kind of services we get. I have also given this feedback to MakeMyTrip as well, lets see what they do as Service Recovery. They have mentioned it as a 3-4 star property which it is not.....the property only is good but F&B, House Keeping & Service are in really bad shape. Would not recommend !!

Didnt stay at this lodge but went on their day trip of rafting and hiking. The staff are absolutely amazing and take such good care of you. I felt extremely safe the whole day. It has been a highlight of my trip. One of my favourite days in India so far! The lunch they serve in between rafting and hiking is so delicious! Highly recommend this tour! We had a tour of the lodge and looks like a pretty great place for a getaway!

Boutique Hotel with Ganga View and a private beach so private that none except for the guests can access. Excellent service. Value for money. Fun with Family and serves non veg food too which is rare in Rishikesh. The rooms are very ethnic and clean. Most rooms have the river view but still ask for the rooms on higher floors.
