We were a group of 30 people who visited Chetak Farms and it was an awesome outing.. A short reliving getaway from Mumbai.. The accommodation is average but neat and clean.. Food was really good.. The scenic beauty in and around the resort makes u melt in nature.. P.S. Its a very good place to click lots of photographs.. The pool was average and needs maintainence.. Overall nice place for family outing!

Bombay market, surat is very nice place for shopping for women sarees and chudidar and dress materials. There are more than 500 shops mostly are for women clothing like work sarees and chudidar.. you can bargain 25 to 20 after final price tell by vendors. I advise first have look at demo pieces at each shop and select which fashion you would like to buy then you enter in shop. Shop keepers are good and having patience..

I visited Chetak Farms in March with a bunch of 15 ppl (family and cousins). I had huge expectations from the resort, keeping in view the charges that we spent ie Rs 2500 pp per night. It took a 3 hrs drive to reach Dahnu from Mumbai, the drive was lovely and since we started early morning we were able to beat the traffic. Like I said I had huge expectations from the resort, but when we reached the resort, all my expectations went down the drain.. First thoughts when we reached there; the resort was shabby and badly maintained.. there is a garden area, and it had only patches of grass left.. the swimming pool had a layer of dirt on it, we had plans to jump in the pool but when we saw the pool, we didn't want to get skin allergies hence we avoided.. we still tried to check with the manager to get the pool water completely replaced so that at least we could enjoy pool. One more thing, there is a lake at the back side of the resort and it was very dirty.. and after every 15 mins, there was a weird dirty smell in the air.. when we tried to check, we were given to understand that there is a liquor factory near by and they dump all the bad output / chemicals in the lake which resulted in ugly smell in the air. This added to our worst experience.. However since we had paid more than 50K and had gone in group, we still thought to try and enjoy, we played cricket in the small patchy garden.. and since it was a small garden adjacent to the dirty lake, all the ball went in the lake.. wouldn't lie, we had fun.. not bcoz of the resort but coz of the company we had.. As the day passed, we bought some liquor from the wine shop, 2 km away from the resort.. we relaxed, chit chatted, played few games etc.. it was fun.. Whenever we were enjoying our company, the breeze and the foul smell spoilt our mood.. we tried to ignore that and continue to / try to have fun.. which we eventually did. Couple of good thing about the resort : A) Food : just loved the food, it tasted superb, it wasn't stale food, was prepared right there (kitchen is at the back of the resort) - don't visit the kitchen, as if u do, u would think of the food hygiene.. - we ignored that and trust me the food was yummy. B) Staff : the staff were very courteous and helpful.. there were on their toes and gave us best of service.. even at mid night, when we asked them to provide milk at the midnight, they were courteous enough to provide us that, even though the staff had slept.. we had a 6 month toddler with us, and we had to get the water boiled for the kid and the staff were attentive and gave us great service and supported us with all our needs. What I learnt? - This is not a resort, it is a farm house and putting the foul smell and bad maintenance aside, it is a lovely place and gave a homely experience, lovely staff, super food.. Suggestions : Work on the rest / farm house maintenance.. and once done, it is worth the money spent.
