Visited this totally hidden Village on the 12th of May with our Family - a large group of 14. Basic Furniture, designed to look like a village house with old but clean bathrooms. Stayed at the Patil House where we got extra beds to accomodate all of us. Due to an error by the Management, we were not alloted the Promised Cabin House but a Dingy extra room instead which we didn't use as it is totally avoidable. The Village staff is courteous but not Prompt and one cannot expect any Room Service for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. When a Senior Citizen couple wanted to leave early on the 14th, they were neither given tea nor Breakfast ( just Bread and Butter) though were promised that it would be arranged. The couple had to fend for themselves only once they reached the city.. Ants and Mosquitoes are aplenty, so dont forget to carry a mosquito repellent spray. Sleeping on the bed is recommended rather than on the floor. Food is Good with a home made flavour, Carry your own Turkish towels if you are used to one as the towels provided are rough . Lovely Ambience but would be great just after the monsoons. A small trek to the lake is fun and one can definitely swim in the lake. You can also come across a brick-making factory.. A Fish Pedicure pool is a great way to relax and so is the swimming pool. The inhouse store selling bottled water and Icecreams is usually out of stock. Ideal for a day Picnic or a night stay. 3.5 stars out of 5

Heard about this place sometime back and finally got a chance to visit. Booked Venus room for a couple of days as a surprise to my wife. Wanted to get away from the hustle-bustle of everyday life and relax for a couple of days and couple of days of relaxation is what we got! Location - We were relying on public transport and the great thing is it's very close to Atgaon station on CST- Kasara line (couple of stations before Kasara). Few trains on the route means needed planning. From Atgaon, called up a rickshaw (charged 100 Rs.) and got promptly dropped at Hidden Village. Food - All meals are included in the cost which is great value. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and even evening tea and snacks. Food is simple Maharashtrian cuisine and there are a few options available. We were pleasantly surprised in the non-veg offering as we were served fish, chicken and mutton over the two days. Room - a Really nice room built with couples in mind. Outside the room, there is a small sitting area along with a big twin bathtub. Fridge, TV and tea/coffee maker amongst the other facilities. Resort - Is built within the wilderness and there are some turkeys, ducks and chickens adding to the village feel. There's a swimming pool and some indoor games to pass time (foosball, tt, carrom, and pool). We spent quite some time in the rock pond where you can dip in your feet and let the fishes take away your stress. Service - Staff is very courteous. Guide and accompanied us to a walk to the lake nearby. Sent snacks to our room in one instance we did not go for snacks. in general very helpful. Value for money - Very much value for money. Including all meals for two, it is an unbeatable price for something so peaceful and so close to Mumbai. Looking forward to visiting again in the monsoons.

Hidden village is just awesome. Its feel is rustic but the rooms are luxurious. The food is simple but tasty. It is once of the best places I have been too. Just loved the stay here. Rooms are clean. If you are looking out for a short break from the busy Mumbai life than this is the place.

There is something different about this quaint little resort. Right from website, its different, accurate and gives all sorts of information (even the landmarks for missed entry). The resort is simple. Divided by brook on whose on side are common areas, dining, pool, play areas and on other side on a incline most of the rooms at different levels and of types. The brook itself is exciting with bridge, 'kund' pool (and its fish pedicure) and seasonal waterfall. The resort is not exactly a village but a afforested mid-dense area with cottages clustered around, the painful process of afforestation from barren done by the owners (interesting booklet in rooms). One thing is to be considered while going here is that one has to adjust to simple living in nature with minimal fuss about comforts of starred resorts. Its like living in Village. The rooms are simple, clean & airconditioned, with basic & adequate amenities. Every room has outdoor area and the whole resort is like an extended outdoor, Food is simple and fresh & tasty. The all relevant details are on website. Good to go for a day or two or weekend, with family, but more fun would be with group of famliy or friends. Day outing is also good. Suggestion to owners to include some village type activities (bullock cart ride in on cards) so to have more village feeling and to do something for extended stays. Also keep the local food as it is (infact include more local fare) and keep the other items on ala carte for those who cannot palate it. Finally wake up tea is needed, as me & many we wanting it during my stay. Finally I would love to visit is in all seasons, summer is done, now for rains and cold

the concept is great. families can safely enjoy the place while it is updated by friends that there is nothing much to do in the premise apart form the fresh water pool and wandering in the nature. some activities though would be appreciated by people.
