We are staying next door at Tigers Roare unfortunately, but at least we have found this amazing hotel and restaurant. The food is special and the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive. They have the same unbelievable view of the jungle you can sit and watch as you eat that we have from our room next door that I wished we had stayed here instead. Lovely staff and great food

Stayed in January and the Manager & Owner very rude. Weren't even offered a Welcome drink. After a long travel day even when we asked for a drink very rudely we were told that the drink won't be served after 6pm .That was a bad start & then there was a big confusion and argument about our room.In the end we just gave inbut with very bad first time Kerala holiday memories......will never recommend.Very poor food also...horrible taste.

I was initially skeptical of this place but was happy to have stayed here.. The rooms are quite spacious with good place for kids. The balcony and the bathroom has a stunning view of the forest park. it is worthwhile to pay a small upgrade and take rooms on the higher floor. Food quality was good some of our family members stayed at their tree house at a premium but the rooms in the main building were more spacious while the 2 tree houses in itself are good, the approach is horrible and via a small pathway crossing private residences traveled -Dec 2016

Clean and well presented rooms. Basic bathroom. Generally good quality linen. Excellent views park side of building. Keep an eye for monkeys coming onto your balcony and potentially into your room if you leave the door open! Breakfast reasonable. Corn flakes, toast and eggs, fruit available in addition to Indian breakfast. No tea or coffee facilities in room unfortunately. We had tea prior to our jungle walk at 6.30am one day, then returned a few hours later to finish off the full included breakfast post walk. All normal until they persued us later in the day and then upon check out to pay for the initial tea. Disappointing as we assumed it was part of the included breakfast and weren't advised of the charge at the time. Wifi coverage patchy in our room (106). Gym equipment looks good but has some Operational faults to work through. Area also cannot be lit properly. Laundry quality of washing good, but wasted an hour returning socks that weren't ours and convincing them that one of our t-shirts was missing. After a bit of persuading it was tracked down by the laundry man.

The rooms were spacious with big comfortable beds and a fridge (extra charge for A/C). Decor was dark and lighting was low. Great balcony to watch early evening wildlife visits (wild boar, deer, herons) also good bathroom and dining room views. The breakfast choice was good with eggs to order, fruit, toast, pancakes, porridge and various local dishes. We did not sample the restaurant as it was usually empty(possibly due to a lack of passing trade at that end of the town). Close to the road but not much noise as the road only leads to the Tiger Reserve entrance (tickets and bus available at the other end of town). On our first evening I discovered a bat in the bathroom, the only way it could have got there was via the balcony door, so I'm assuming it had flown in and not been discovered, the staff removed it and released it outside. We paid the extra for A/C but woke up hot in the middle of the night and controls would not respond, it finally came back on at 5.40. Wifi, but signal drops frequently. Swimming pool and conference room.
