Suresh, our host, was the best. He went above and beyond to help us with activities, advice and made us feel so welcome. It was great to sit down with him and chat. Room was comfortable. There is a nice common area to spend some free time.

Not exactly an home stay, the owner has extended his home, a separate wing is dedicated for people staying. As it is a home stay there is no room service and luxurious amenities like a hotel. The rooms are in good condition and have all basic comforts. The host family was very friendly and courteous. Gave tips for getting to the Tiger reserve. That really helped us getting to the tiger reserve in the early morning ferry.

We stayed at Green View in December - my two children 10 and 13 (Stan and Rosie) and wife (Sarah). We loved our visit and Suresh made our stay. We were very comfortable, the rooms overlooked his garden were full of exotic birds, we slept so very well. Suresh gave us lots of good tips and was very kind. We plan to come back and i'm going to take Suresh's offer up of an early morning run in the Park. Also, we went and did a cooking course at BBQ - it was one of our highlights of our trip. Thanks Suresh and your lovely smiley wife. Ollie

We stayed in a 1st floor room overlooking the garden. The accommodation is basic & quite shabby. The bed was comfortable however the sheets weren't quite big enough to cover the bed, although luckily it looked like a new mattress. The bathroom / shower is a typical homestay affair with plenty of hot water. It's just that the water goes everywhere & the floor stays wet for sometime. The owner Mr Suresh was always keen to help & insisted on taking us down to the Tiger Reserve Booking Office as soon as we arrived which was exactly the right thing to do since all trips in the Reserve were filling up very quickly or fully booked already. We did manage a 10am half day rafting trip which included a good 5km walk in to the start of the rafting point with knowledgable guide & armed ranger. 1 hour on the lake at midday was enough. We were lucky to see a small group of elephants & good bird life even in the midday heat. The following day we did the Nature Walk again later than we would have liked, 10.30am start. We also had to buy a pass which covered 4 people even though there were only 2 of us, which was an extra 700 rupees but was more than worth it with the excellent guide we got to ourselves who really knew his birds. We spotted sambar deer, langur & macaque monkeys, wild boar & a decent number of birds. Regarding restaurants Grandma's yes if you can get a table often busy with tour groups, 1 little gem is Coffee Garden passed Green View about 200m on the right hand side. If you need a break from the local cuisine then Coffee Garden do a delicious veg lasagne, mushroom & spinach which was excellent. We also had a very nice mojito with ice - they promote safe ice & it was but you have to ask.

We stayed for 3 nights in January and had a great stay. We had a room at the back of the house with a balcony overlooking the gardens. The monkeys were very active on our first evening! We enjoyed watching the bats flying over at dusk. Suresh and Sulekah were helpful and arranged a cookery class with a local family for us.
