We stayed there for 2 nights. We were welcomed very warm hearted. We had interesting talks with host and the hostess. We had a bike tour in the morning and amazing wildlife expieriences in the evening. We were delighted by the homecooked indian food , which was a light and tasty delight . We had a relaxing time and enjoyed it very much. We came as strangers and left as friends.

Homes like this are what makes India such a wonderful country to visit. We were fortunate enough spend several nights as guests in the home of Shatrunjai Singh and his charming and interesting wife Bhavna. We enjoyed fabulously comfortable accommodation, great food and interesting conversation, not forgetting a delightful jeep ride with sundowners by a small lake and accompanied by Shatrunjai's lovely mother. The staff were superb and we were left wanting for nothing. All in all an unforgettable stay - our thanks to everyone

Cycling around the old hunting estate in the early morning light; watching superb dishes being cooked using traditional karahi pans that have been handed down from one generation to the next; swimming under date palms in a pool overlooking the lake; observing squadrons of parakeets darting overhead in the twilight; relaxing in wicker chairs on the open verandah: Dev Shree is a veritable oasis. The tranquility and genuine hospitality are perfectly aligned with the beautiful surroundings. Our heartfelt thanks. Marita, Roberto and Dante (road weary cycle tourers)

We stayed here one night on the way to Udaipur from Jodhpur. This is a lovely estate where the host and hostess treated us like "honored family guests". The rooms are beautiful, large and comfortable. The food is some of the best we had in India and it is a great break from the bustling cities of India. The setting for the estate is lovely and contains a lake with wild life and a fort on the ridge in the background. We took the rural train ride arranged through the hotel and loved it. Getting to know some of the people on the train and the scenery were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful stay! PS: Loved the little Jack Russel, Buddy.

I recently landed up for lunch, & I cannot mention enough how warm & hospitable the hosts are. In a world that's getting increasingly & unnecessarily aggressive, it was soul-reaffirming to come across such a couple... dignified, & great conversationalists. I felt, they were old friends I'd known for decades. Of course, the home-made lunch was fabulous. And I ended up staying for much longer than planned. My only regret - I hadn't planned to stay the night. Will be back.
