After the initial hiccups pertaining to check-in and arranging the boat to take us to the Palace, everything concerning to our stay and meals went quite smoothly. This quintessential place to book during wedding seasons especially for weddings with 'royalty' theme, and is usually booked throughout, but, fortunately, sometimes when it's not, the 15 rooms and dinning area are open to public. Room chosen for us was supposedly the best among all the rooms, and was comfortable (not extraordinary though) with a beautiful bathroom. Dinning area resonates royalty and our dinners were just perfect. Dinning area is open to visitors and not just for in-house guests. Since only recently they have decided to open the space to public for the stay, and opened the dinning area and the palace (for viewing) for general public , the check-in was quite a pain. The access to the pier is narrow and no rickshaw or car will come to drop you. There's no arrangement made for someone to come and receive your bags in-case you end up walking few hundred meters . Breakfast is quite bad to taste. Food can get greasy and not good to taste. Excluding few hiccups the team went out of their way to make us feel happy and comfortable.

The boat ride, the views, the museum, the food, the service, amazing amazing amazing! One of the best places I have visited in the world. Special thanks to Ravi Kumar for looking after us beautifully at dinner in the restaurant. Will be back again and again!!

We visited this place last December which is a peak season. Some of our bad experience is likely due to the pressure put by the sheer number of people visiting at this time. Overall it is a nice place in the middle of the lake with excellent view. It was closed the first day that I visited city palace so I had to come the next day to go only to this place. You need to first buy a ticket for the city palace grounds (Rs 30 pp) and then buy the ticket for the boat separately (Rs 500 pp). We then waited close to 1.5 hours to get on the boat which was very pleasant. Boat ride give you a glimpse of City palace and the ghats from different angles and is very enjoyable. Most of the palace was closed when we visited and we were restricted to an average restaurant again with great views. My family enjoyed but I was a little disappointed considering the time and money it took to reach this place.

Chartered a boat through HRH. The service by Yogindra for the boat booking service was superb The boat ride was conducted excellently by Jitendra. The boat ride was beautiful and breath taking. Jagmandir Island is one of the most peaceful places in the middle of pichola lake. Lovely palace especially when it is lit up in the night. A MUST VISIT!!!

It may be just any other palace in Udaipur located in the midst of Pichola Laka. But what happens when it is decked up for a marraige takes one to a an entirely different world where dreams are made. Take a short boat ride from the jetty at the City Palace ground to the Jagmandir to enter into a vast open space nestled between arches, palaces, grounds and artifully decorated greenary. Ample space for the guests to move around, organise receptions for a large number of guests, makes it a unique place for grand events. I am not sure whether for any catering comes from within, but find great scope for improving on both the variety and quality of food. Overall, an experience worth cherish to attend an event in this place and spend an wintry evening there.
