What's Good: Cleanliness, working life, co-operative staff, good location and good food
What needs to improve : Nothing specific
Reason For Rating : Amazing hotel with a good view and a wonderful and co-operative staff. The food is a bit on the expensive side but its delicious with good continental options. The rooms are amazing with good ventilation and all basic amenities promised a provided. The best part is the cleanliness and the maintenance of the property with good clean rooms and linens. It has lift too which is pretty convenient if you have older family members travelling. The approach road is a little narrow so you may have to walk to the hotel from Jagdish Temple because thats when the vehicles are not allowed by the policemen however i did see a few 4 wheelers around which means it is easily accessible to the 4 wheelers. I would recommend this hotel anyday to all my family and friends and would love to stay here again when in Udaipur

What's Good: Location
What needs to improve : Food
Reason For Rating : Good Location Amazing View Gr8 location : City Palace (300 mtrs), Jagdish Temple (150 mtrs), Pichola Lake (150 mtrs). Easy Conectivity: Auto Rikshas easily available in the vicinity. Hotel room: near & clean Rooms. Comfortable bed, 24Hrs hot water. 3 storey building with elevator which most other hotels do not have. Restaurant: Roof Top open restaurant with great view without any obstruction. One can sit on terrace for hours together just absorbing the beautiful view. Food: will not recommend having food here. Very average food with high price. Food menu and taste has been designed as per foreign tourist. There are few local restaurants near temple for breakfast. Additional Info: the hotel also arranges day tour sight seeing at competitive price. Do check package price with couple of other tour operators and make ur choice. Overall a good budget hotel with good location and amazing view from terrace & lake view room.

This was my second stay at Mewar Haveli, and again, it did not disappoint. I spent 9 nights here with a group of friends and by the end of my stay it felt like home. The staff are kind and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. Special mention to Hemant and Laxman. The rooms are beautifully decorated in the traditional Rajasthani way and are kept very clean. The restaurant is great, delicious food and wonderful views. The Haveli is in the old city and is walking distance to everything. There is a small shop downstairs where you can purchase water, snacks, toiletries and souvenirs. You can also book tours and things from here as well.

We had a wonderful stay! It's a great place to stay to begin with, but what made our stay awesome is the wonderful staff! It's in a very good location, but away from the busy main road. The rooftop restaurant was good too.

we booked 2 rooms 3 months back and confirmed 2 days before arrival. Just one day before our arrival they told us they have confused with our stay dates. On arrival were told that one room has to be changed the next day because of the management error and we were given a room in different floor. With a child we faced much difficulty. Even though they changed our baggages by themselves after our approval we were dejected. The hotel is situated in the old city near jagadish temple. Accessibility is very difficult by taxi and no parking space.Good hotel for backpackers. It has a elevator which most hotels don't have in old city. Restaurant is bit costly. They charged a mineral water 1 liter 50 rupees when it's MRP is only 20.

The hotel is located within the walled city. Therefore, vehicles stop outside the wall and you need to take a tuk tuk with your luggage for the remaining way to the hotel. The rooms are small and are traditional Indian. If you want a Western hotel, this is not the hotel to stay in. People get up late in the walled city. Breakfast is supposed to start at 7:00 am but it doesn't really get going until around 8:30am at the earliest. There's a great coffee cafe called Sun and Moon or Moon and Sun within walking distance if you're an early riser. The wifi was great and the staff brought in an electric strip for all of our electrical converters. Breakfast was good with a great view of the lake.

On a family trip through Rajasthan, we booked 5 rooms to accommodate 10 travelers for a couple of nights in Udaipur. This Haveli is super clean, central, and within walking distance to the palace and the tourist markets in the old city. Our room was equipped with AC (thought you don't need it in December), a TV, and a great view of the river and old city (book a corner room so you have both views!). We never had an issue with having hot water for our showers. While we didn't eat at the rooftop restaurant, I did enjoy a coffee and watched the sunset over the river- a view that cannot be beat! A few notes: you will have to park your car/bus outside of the old city gates and take a rickshaw or bike up to the Haveli because of the narrow streets. The front desk crew was great in helping us secure a parking spot for our bus. There is also an elevator for those that have trouble going up and down stairs, which is a plus. In all, my favourite place I stayed in all of Rajasthan!
