What's Good: the Ambience
What needs to improve : Services not good
Reason For Rating : Though, it is very small property however, there are lot of changes required to attract more Tourist. 1. We booked 3 Rooms for one night & in one of the room, AC was not working. I asked the guy to do it but he said it is midnight so It cannot do now . I had no option but to sleep in without AC @ 45 DEC, temperature in Udaipur.

What's Good: The staff was very responsive and helpful
What needs to improve : There should have been a tea maker in the room. The cleanliness could also improve a little.

What's Good: Luggage carrier boy service
What needs to improve : Drunk owner and has not sense how to talk to customer. Disgusting.
Reason For Rating : 24*7 Drunk Owner. Always sitting at reception to disrespect people. Totally rude behaviour and abusing. If you care about your self respect, don't go for it. Hot water not available at early morning. Poor lighting in room. Not much parking space. Only luggage carrier boys are doing their job properly.

Reason For Rating : Great location and ambience. The rooms are well lit and the pool is small yet beautiful. The greenery inside the courtyard garden is very beautiful. Would love to go again.

I spent two weeks at this hotel, which is a long time for a traveler, and found it a nice, happy experience. The hotel is an old haveli and is very attractive but some of the rooms need minor maintenance, like dripping taps and furniture seeing to. The rooms are quite dark, with heavy dark wood furniture but that keeps the age of the hotel authentic. The gardens are beautiful and it has a very inviting swimming pool which would be a real advantage in the summer months. Shrimali the manager, is a lovely, very helpful man and Cooldeep, his assistant, was always helpful and charming. The gracious owner of the hotel was present, intermingling with guests and keeping an eye on things and he was a pleasure to meet and chat with on a daily basis. My waiter was just delightful however I found the menu limited and rather boring if eating on a regular basis and would recommend that new dishes be added for this upcoming year. All in all though, a lovely, warm, safe, family hotel perfect for a long stay because of its location, peace, relaxed atmosphere, friendliness and warmth.

Hotels twice the price of this one may try to duplicate its century old atmosphere, but they never can. The Rangniwas Palace exudes gentility from the antique furnishings and library room to the gracious and helpful staff. The well-kept garden provides an oasis from the traffic, and the pool was tempting even though it was still too cold for a dip for any but the most hardy (or perhaps Scandinavians). The swing on my terrace gave me many happy reading hours. The food was tasty and very well-priced, although perhaps a dessert section could be added to the menu for those with a sweet tooth. The man in the beret who waited on me daily made me feel like a maharani. He has a lovely smile. I extended my stay by two days and would have stayed longer had it not been time to move on. Ignore the flaky paint here and there and remember you could be paying much more for much less. This hotel is a real gem. Highly recommended.

Great location - walking distance to city palace and other central places. Beautiful rooms - slightly on the cold side due to the time of year. Lovely social areas with garden and pool. Great breakfast options. Lovely food in restaurant at dinner. Helpful and friendly staff.

We chose this hotel for its position away from the bustle of central Udaipur and for its gardens and swimming pool. These all lived up to expectations. The building, and its setting, are lovely - the basic rooms, however, did not live up to expectaton (although we were assured that a program of renovation and make over is in progress) - a shame we were a year early! The staff were very good indeed, especially the elderly waiter who anticipated all our needs despite his broken english. Good laundry service - one item was redone for us as a stain had not come out first time. The lack of good real coffee was a disapointment but fortunatley it is very close to Love Cafe for breakfast. We had only one evening meal here and, though the menu is rather basic and lacking in choice, the food was particularly good.

i visited this property in dec 2018 for one night there were no heaters in the room and not even flasks. the deluxe rooms mentioned in the website are different from the ones that we were allotted. we paid in excess of rs 7000 for the 2 rooms. while one was still okay for the price, the other room in so called rangniwas palace was bad.not worth Rs 1500 perhaps. the solar water heaters took good 30 min for hot shower in the evening, the temp was good 8 degrees and yet, the host, an elderly gentleman argued that because we were from the east, i.e. kolkata, we were overreacting to the cold climate! the team is extremely unwelcoming. unfit to be in hospitality industry except for one gentleman named Mr Shrimali, the rest are bad such a shame i chose this property i had opted for this place since mahendra prakash, a heritage property besides rangniwas that i have visited in the past, had no rooms on that date. i regret my choice. keep off this property if you may. and please ask for pictures of the rooms if you book online.
