What's Good: Homely environment and lovely people.
What needs to improve : Wifi should have more signal, it was almost not usable from our room.

The property is an old aristocrat's palace, refurbished into a hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and will be willing to help you out in whatever you need. In my case, they really helped us plan our stay in the city (including restaurants, shopping and sightseeing), change currency (they gave us the best rates I found in India) and even brought us a hot cup of tea whenever we felt tired. Rooms are clean and spacious with brand new AC, which is extremely helpful in the summer. We took a cottage room, which includes a beautiful terrace with views to Udaipur's city palace. Breakfast is served in the terrace. The location is also remarkable, in a quiet street (very safe) a 15 min walk away from the main sights (city palace and the lake). You won't need to take rickshaws at all! If I had to highlight anything negative, I would say that the boiler is not too strong, so once or twice the shower was a little bit colder than what we wished. However, this was a very minor issue, especially in the summer. Highly recommended place!

The owner couple are an absolutely delightful and warm hosts. The property has an old world authentic charm with a nice courtyard, temple inside the campus, terrace with a view of the City palace. The rooms are clean with all the basic necessities The service is undoubtedly of best quality - one can rely on quality food, refreshing cup of masala chai, cab/auto service - on request though. The location is in a safe neighbourhood (considering the entire city is such), and as mentioned in the property's description, every site/tourist attraction is easily accessible within a range of 2-4 kms.

We stayed at Sun Heritage Home for two nights and really did love it. The homestay is situated just away from the busy streets of Udaipur but still only a few minutes walk to the main attractions. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the rooms are spacious and clean. The rooftop terrace over looks the city palace which makes it a perfect setting for breakfast and to watch the sunset in the evening. The owners are lovely and made our stay incredibly relaxing and easy. They provided recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat in and helped to organise a cheap taxi for our onwards journey to Jodhpur. We would highlight recommend a stay here!

The room was not super clean, and the staff were not always available. The area is relatively quiet, and was fairly easy to find. The room itself was okay. The door had a strange frosted glass portion which didn't give much privacy. The roof terrace is a nice place to sit in the afternoon.

Stayed at Sun Heritage Home for 2 nights as it was recommended by our friends who stayed here in November for 3 nights. Excellent location for visiting the Palace and Lakes near by. The owner (Nagender) and staff are very friendly and happy to help you and provide information. Rooms are large with a good sized bathroom attached with hot water. The rooms have excellent ventilation and lovely view and also have TV's. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. Lovely terrace with garden and spectacular view of the Palace in the night. The food is also very good and plenty of it!! I would recommend!!
