It was a very relaxing and luxurious short break from Delhi with everyone in the hotel very helpful, courteous and polite. As I was there to celebrate a special milestone in the family, all the hotel staff arranged a lovely chocolate cake. Very personalized service buy all staff. Will love to go back there again.

  • World Class Hotel

    by Izedtravel101 on March 20, 2017

The Oberoi Udaivilas truly is one of the worlds best hotels. No detail is overlooked in any facet of the hotel. From the moment we booked the hotel, the hotel reached out to us and asked for a wide array of our preferences such as bed choice, food choices/restrictions and much more. Every action was made to ensure a seamless stay. From Udaipur city we took the hotel's boat to the hotel and were showered with rose petals on our walk into the lobby. In the lobby, assistant manager Abishkek and his team took care of all the check in formalities alongside our upgrade to a luxury suite. We were then brought to our room which consisted of a living room, a powder washroom, bedroom, main washroom, and private deck with a pool. Everything was furnished elegantly and up-to-date. The hotels food options are first grade. For breakfast, there is a buffet which consists of many Indian dishes, pastries, and fresh fruits. You can, however, order additional dishes from a menu as part of the buffet package. For dinner, the hotel has two options- one multi national cuisine restaurant outside and royal Indian food inside. Both options are some of Udaipurs best from both an atmospheric and culinary angle. The hotel is vast with many meticulously maintained gardens and ponds, most of which overlook the lake and palace. Every single interaction with a staff member at the hotel was gracious, helpful, and professional. Everyone at the hotel always were glad to assist you. The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur is a sure bet in luxury resort hotels. No other accommodation offers the facilities, staff and food of this hotel.

  • The most luxurious hotel !

    by kobusm913 on March 20, 2017

This is the most luxurious hotel I have stayed in. The rooms, public areas and dining areas are exquisite and stylish. I only stayed one night as that is all I could afford. This hotel comes with a hefty price tag but it's all worthwhile. Highly recommended !

  • Creature Comforts at a Great Hotel overlooking Lake Pichula

by arturofranz on March 18, 2017

As we continued our group tour to Udaipur, we celebrated lunch at a spot across the lake from the Oberoi. To our delight, as opposed to taking a bus, our group experienced a 30 minute lake cruise before landing at the hotel. The hotel grounds are beautiful loaded with fountains, spacious walkways throughout. In the early evening, grab a seat and watch peacocks as they stroll to their evening roosting retreats, eventually flying up to their favorite tree location away from menacing predators. The hotel is physically large considering, I was told that the Oberoi only had 80 rooms making this much more luxurious in its ample setting. Some of the more high end guest rooms have their own private spa swimming pool making this even more inviting. Looking to relax from the last few weeks of our road tripping and looking rather shabby, having forgotten my trimmer, I got a mustache & goatee trim with the hotel barber. I treated myself to a nice massage by a massage therapist from Bhutan. That was great! There is an animal sanctuary at the rear of the campus and to our delight we able to enjoy seeing deer and wild boars. Our room were quite nice with all the amenities you might need. Considering this a 5 STAR hotel, our room did not meet to our expectations...needing some detailed maintenance in certain areas. We brought this up to the attention of our tour guide and knowing him, the hotel management would be surely advised. However, no need for the hotel management to respond to this review. Everything else was of the highest caliber. There are two restaurants on the property, and both are used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The outdoor dining area is especially nice where most of the hotel guest congregate. Even though is was a bit chilly, the heating lamps made all the difference and to our enjoyment, two local musicians and dancer provided entertainment during our meal. While some of tour group folks didn't know, my wife & I discovered the Rama Art Gallery, located outside the Oberoi and it's the first shop on the right outside the gate. We shared this beautiful shop with the rest of the folks. This is a must see shop, even if you don't buy. There is a magnificent collection of old antique doors of every size, dimension, color and material. All in all it a great stay, too short, however.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this absolutely gorgeous hotel from arrival under fluttering rose petals to departure and airport transfer we experienced the most marvellous time . The attention to detail makes every guest seem so special, we were lucky enough to be there for Holi which was tremendous fun organised by the hotel. Try and book a pool room overlooking the lake . Special thanks to manager Ankush and his team for making our stay so memorable .
