Was nice quiet place, super host with food options that satisfied! Comfy bed and sunny roof top! Food was lovely and portions were very generous. There were multiple helpings as well. Well recommended.this is not a hotel but the experience and hospitality is way above the feeling of satisfaction.

People usually search for good hotels to stay to have an everlasting memory, but the same thing could get that here ! Yes, this is not a hotel but the experience and hospitality is way above the feeling of satisfaction. The place is not too good to be a hotel but the values attached with it and the hospitality of the owner - Mr & Mrs Jain is simply commendable. The rooms are pretty small but very very clean. The charges are way lesser than a hotel. The food is Saathvik - Made with Purity and as everything is prepared at home, it makes you feel like home. There is a lot that I can say about this place, but I think, you'll get to feel more only once you visit this place !

A very beautiful and lovely people. You feel homely the very moment you enter their house. Excellent lipsmacking food. The garden opposite their house provides a serene green cover. Uncle and aunty are fun to talk to. They share their amazing life experiences. Would definitely visit again.

Go figure that, after two months in India, one of my favourite nights was in sleepy little Sarnath with Dr. Jain. I wasn't blown away at first. With bare walls, cracked floors and only a partially-covered roof, the guesthouse was easily the most austere I encountered in all of India. The rooftop bedroom is unfurnished with an old bed, desk, shower and toilet with no flush. There wasn't any WiFi. There are lots of mosquitoes at night. At first, I actually asked myself, "I came all this way for this?" Then, I let the experience in. I spent the afternoon writing on the rooftop overlooking the park. I went for a walk into a nearby village and met its lively and charismatic children. I even got a bit lost, and was cheerily picked up by one of Dr. Jain's employees on his motorbike. Then I dined with Dr. Jain and his family, which was not only a delight for the tastebuds, but for the mind. We stayed up late into the night discussing politics, spirituality and cultural differences between the West and East. I was served hot milk and sugar, a favourite bedtime treat, free of charge. Also, ask about Dr. Jain's charity work, because it's phenomenal! In the morning, I ate with other Indian guests, played with their children and was on my way back into the city before 9am--not quite believing all I experienced in such a short amount of time. Everyone says you can do Sarnath in a day, but I think you also need a night. I don't know what the experience would be without a trip to see Dr. Jain!

I liked Jains Paying Guest House very much. It has an excellent homey atmosphere. It is a good value. The thalis are magnificent! There is a nice common area where you can eat thali and talk with other guests or people who come there for the thalis. You can also get tea or a cool lemon drink. There's a water purifier for free water. There is also wifi although the signal can be weak in rooms and certain areas (like the roof). I hope to return again.
