My husband and I were delayed 7hours by train arriving at 3.00 am and our host still gave us a warm welcome despite having to go to work at 5.00 am. He his wife and son were very accommodating and provided us with a small window with which to experience life in the burbs of Varanasi. Its not the Hilton so don't expect 5star accommodation but its clean and tidy and our hostess provided very tasty food. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks

We stayed at Sheetal House which is not far from the airport, Sarnath and the city (but conveniently outside Varanasi's traffic jams, which is a good thing as more than one person missed their flights because of that), The house is hidden and gated, the rooms are very spacious with balconies, spotlessly clean, the family gave us a warm welcome and we were lucky to share delicious (vegetarian) meals. The matrass was not soft, but i slept very well) We had tea in the courtyard and on the roof terrace with a wide view on the area. Our host was highly knowledgeable and wise and answered all the questions we had about India Overall a very good experience.

This was truly a homestay - we had a nice room but the owner spoke very little english. She had her teenage son translate but it wasn't much better. This is a nice place - very clean - with a private ensuite bathroom - but it really felt like we were staying in someones home. Well intentioned but amateurish.

Adresse a recommander chaudement.
