In the middle of all the chaos, this little gem is a gift. Just outside the pedestrian streets, the tug tug can drive you here. Rooms are of decent size, there is a lovely courtyard and staff is super friendly. We were given a fantastic introduction to the city. They connected us with a great guide for a walking tour of the old city. As the price indicate, it is not five star. Bedsheets are not without holes, taking a shower results in a flooding of the bathroom, and breakfast is too expensive with the quality in mind. But the place is wonderful, quiet and service impeccable. We even got a free bag with goodies for an early train ride. Wifi is fast, a little unreliable in the room, bed comfortable, and there is lots of hot water. Location is a few hundred meters from main ghat. Could not be better or more practical. This place is highly recommended. And on a personal note. The courtyard is a wonderful serene place. Why is it necessary to destroy this atmosphere, by paying loud music on your cellphone. Earphones has been invented. It would be great, if a sign would be put up, recommending people to use headphones.

The homestay is probably one of the best and friendliest in Varanasi or even India. We were well and warm welcomed in a very clean place. The room was spacious and the food was good as well. Shree Ganesha is the place to stay in Varanasi - the city where you definitely need place to escape the craziness and if its only for the night :)

Our stay here was short - just one night - but it was enough to understand and feel the uniqueness of this place. Clean, spacious rooms, delicious homemade food and first of all - amazing family of the owners! They make you feel at home and do all the efforts to turn your stay in Varanasi unique and unforgettable. Owe absolutely adored everything!

Two night stay in Deluxe Double room. The room itself is very spacious for the price, beds and AC are good. Water pressure not great (but hot) and bathroom very small. Breakfast was fine and staff were very helpful in arranging airport transfers and local transport to the ghats to meet with our guides. Had a very nice meal in restaurant just around the corner (Saffron) as well. I will not likely return to Varanasi, once will be enough for me, but if I did, I wouldnt hesitate to stay at the Shree Ganesha Palace again.

We arrived Varanasi and just booked this hotel in ad-hoc manner after a long day of travel, too exhausted and at midnight and would say that overall we all were very happy with our stay. Finding the entrance of this hotel is a bit difficult at first but it is situated right opposite the bank as described on the website. The atmosphere of the hotel is really "closed" / "private" in that area. The rooms are clean and fairly basic but everything worked and the bed was really comfortable. The bathrooms are clean with basic amenities in place. The guesthouse is about 750 metres from the Dashashwamedh ghat where you don't really need a tuk tuk to travel where you can just walk. The hotel has a lovely courtyard at the rear of the property adjacent to most of the access doors to rooms. The hotel itself is lovely and clean and tastefully appointed. Sat in there you are almost in an oasis of calm away from the normal hustle and bustle. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks are all served here and we found all meals to be of reasonable quality. I should say that the customer service which was excellent from start till finish. The staff were ready to help and assist you at any point in time with a smile on their face. They could not have been more kind and gracious. The price is reasonable and affordable. Me and my family honestly so happy to have found this place. From the time we checked in, all the staff were very helpful, nice, friendly and I should thank the Owner, Harshit who made us feel special and home and for the hospitality rendered from the beginning to the end. The reception was very helpful as well providing information that we requested for. It has wifi was freely available 24/7. Honestly, one of the best place I have ever stayed in.
