What's Good: It is near to all the famous churches.That's the only positive.
What needs to improve : The smell of the room was worst and we could see some cockroach moving in the bed. Water leaking from tap and there is continuous disturbing sound as if some one else is staying in our room. Hotel needs revamp
Reason For Rating : Stayed in Grandeur room. Since it is MGM group hotel had a great expectation . But totally let down by the room quality. The smell of the room was worst and we could see some cockroach moving in the bed. Water leaking from tap and there is continuous disturbing sound as if some one else is staying in our room. Hotel needs revamp as I could see lot of new hotels coming up nearby. Staff was courteous. Food is OK. But it looks costlier for this type of Hotel. It is near to all the famous churches.That's the only positive.

Seeing the bathroom of this hotel, my 75yr old mom asked, "Are we the first to use this toilet?" That much clean and neat is this place. Believe it, its not easy to get a clean toilet in Velankanni- its a pilgrimage spot, thousands come and go and we are just a speck in the multitude, and nobody complains even if its dirty, we just stay for the night and leave the next day, but this hotel made us feel like royalty. The rooms are spacious and had all the facilities like complementary water, tea/coffee maker, television, mini fridge, etc... and a good view too. But the best part of this hotel is the staff, very dedicated and conscientious. They were very particular in their perfect service. Their timing impeccable. My mom had fever and I had to avail room service so many times, that they did it happily. I didn't even tip each time, but still they did it smiling. Their food superb and sumptuous breakfast too. All in all, it was a great experience. But I would still say, "Seeing is believing." Why don't you stay for the night and get a first hand experience. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all the staff, who helped me make the stay a memorable one. Wishing you all success in all future endeavours. Meena

I would like to say million thanks to this hotel resort manager mr. Mani,front office personnel dinesh and daniel and the housekeeper and housekeeping staff for giving my family a five star service which is beyond my expectations and more over i was with my small infant and the hotel staff was helpful in providing all the needed care and service to ensure my stay with my family in this hotel are well taken care and my prayers at vellankani goes on smoothly and i strongly suggest other visitors to vellankani choose this hotel as their place to stay

Excellent service by the staff, especially Mr. Balaji. All staff members are very curteous and co-operative. The food is amazing. Room amenities are also wonderful. The conveyance from and to the airport is also very prompt and good.

We stayed here for 1 night only. Hotel is clean and neat, not too far from the main churches and shrines area (but not walking distance though). We had free breakfast included but went into the main street area for other meals. Rooms are average. One issue we had was the extended time to obtain a refund for another room booked more than 3 moths out, and their online system was not able to cope with the refund! After much discussions, finally the Resort Manager Mr Mani helped us out, so much thanks to his hard work, really appreciated his service over and beyond to ensure we got our refund.
