Reason For Rating : Rooms are a bit small for what we pay...we stayed in deluxe room... good for families... location wise...on the main road but own vehicle is a must as it is pretty far when compared to other hotels in the vicinity of shrine.Toilets are small but neatly maintained..with all toiletries.overall a pleasant stay.

What's Good: It is near to all the famous churches.That's the only positive.
What needs to improve : The smell of the room was worst and we could see some cockroach moving in the bed. Water leaking from tap and there is continuous disturbing sound as if some one else is staying in our room. Hotel needs revamp
Reason For Rating : Stayed in Grandeur room. Since it is MGM group hotel had a great expectation . But totally let down by the room quality. Hotel needs revamp as I could see lot of new hotels coming up nearby. Staff was courteous. Food is OK. But it looks costlier for this type of Hotel. It is near to all the famous churches.That's the only positive.

We had booked for one night for a family of 3 adults and 1 child. Once we reached there, we got a free upgrade to the Grandeur room from the Deluxe room we had actually booked. The room: The Grandeur room has a living room and a bedroom room with a balcony. We had a room overlooking the swimming pool. The room was very good. This Grandeur room (living and bedroom put together) can easily sleep 4 adults and a child. You can have the extra bed(s) set up in the living room. Each room has a TV. The bathroom: I see some area of improvement here. The bathroom feels a little old and musty. The toilet bowl was shaky and a little stained Hot water doesn't start till 6:30. Anyone who is planning an early morning shower may face issues. The toileteries were well stocked though. The food: We had lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The food was good, neither spicy , nor bland. Some of the dishes were excellent. Breakfast was complimentary . The restaurant didn't have filter coffee, which was something I think should be made a part of every hotel in Tamil Nadu. The service: Service was good and prompt. The swimming pool: Though we didn't use the pool, I noticed that it was clean and we maintained. There's also a kids pool. Parking: The hotel has sufficient parking facilities in case you are planning on driving there. Value for money Overall, this hotel is a really good value for money and I would definitely recommend this to fellow travelers.

We (me and my Family) stayed with MGM on 1st Jan 2020. We booked 2 Villas. I used to visit Velankanni with family every year from my childhood but unfortunately didnt get an opportunity to visit for past 2 years due to other commitments. All these times we stayed in different hotels near to church but never stayed with MGM as it is a mile away from church. This is first time we got the opportunity with stay at MGM and from now on, this will be our only choice. Such a fantastic hospitality which I have never experienced from any other accommodations within Velankanni. Special thanks to Mani, Resort Manager who made sure all our needs where fulfilled in no time. Thanks to the entire team and cant wait to come back again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We stayed in MGM Vellankani Residency on 10-01-2020. We pleased with service of Mrs.Kalanidhi front Office Executive. Well maintained clean room, Necessary toileteries in restroom, Very good Balcony and clean swimming pool. The restaurant Virundu is one of the best in Vellankani. We look forward to see you all in 2021. Thankyou.

On 28th December 2019 evening eight of our family members including me traveled by A/C sleeper coach of Raahath Travels from Bangalore to Velankanni. Next day early in the morning we reached Velankanni and checked into MGM Velankanni Residency. The road condition was good and the journey was smooth. We were given 2 breaks. At least 3 breaks should be given and the wash rooms should be clean. The hotel was excellent with very well mannered and trained staff. The rooms were neat and the food was very good. The Breakfast buffet was well spread. Mr. Mani the Resort Manager was very helpful & efficient. Velankanni is very peaceful place, the churches and the surroundings are very clean and the place is very well organised. During this time of the year the weather is very pleasant. People from all religion in thousands visit the churches all day till late evening for praying and seeking blessings from Mother Mary. We returned on 31.12.19 by the same bus. In all it is an excellent place to visit for peace loving people and pious people. There are plenty of hotels to suit everyone's pocket. I would love to go there again.
