This place is perfect for a weekend getaway w/ friends or your better half. Located in the middle of the mountain, gives you the proper feeling o the Mahabaleshwar. The rooms are tidy and room service is quick and on point just that theres no proper wifi connection here. The food is good at the restaurant and they also have a gaing room and a swimming pool!

The resort is very beautiful, with a courteous and extremely hospitable staff. It is away from all the hustle and bustle, so is very peaceful. The food served too is delicious. It is surrounded by hills, and a trek up the hills in the morning is a must. Overall, a very good experience and a must visit place.

The Yellow Retreat is at an amazing location.... Rooms are good and spacious.... All rooms have connected sit out with area, so if you are travelling in a group (like we were) then it is a fantastic place to do a BBQ. Service was great. Swimming poll was amazing. Resort also has a conference room. It's a great place for corporate activities or even of family outings.

First of all, it is situated in a amazing location surrounded by mountains and hills and location is picturesque. Good parking and cool rooms. Please do not expect much in terms of services. People are good who work there form nearby places. This place is little away from Wai. You should carry your own soap, shampoo etc. Food is mostly Indian and you have the choice of toast, egg, jam etc. One can visit Panchghani which is plateau and famous for many reasons. This is within 15 kms and there are temples in Wei specially Ganpati temple on the banks of river Krishna which is nearly 400 years old. There is Mandhardevi temple on the opposite side which is on top of the hill and the journey to the temple itself is an experience. Madhardevi temple is also centuries old (some say between17th and 18th). The internet connection cannot be relied at this place. So please check whether internet is running or not. It could be one of situation as well. Ask for paper rolls as by default you will not get it but they can provide if asked. Intercom in rooms may not work. Rooms are generally good and have good space where you can enjoy the surroundings and spend time. Swimming pool will not give you a good experience as showers will not work. Water is clean though. Be very careful if you are with Kids or dont know swimming as pool is deep. I recommend this only for good swimmers. This is good place if you want to have mental peace outside the hustle and bustle from city and spend time along or with family. Good place for meditation as well Overall, experience is good and one can explore.

We visited here in second week of May 2017 and had very very bad experience. There is no proper security provided in the Hotel, only one watchman was there at the gate, there are no boundary walls around the hotel, only one hotel on entire hill with only one security guard. Also property is not professionally managed, only 2-3 local staff was available in the hotel. In the rooms there are many lizards, also window does not have grill and locking system was not working. Its very far from wai. We did not feel safe in the property, so we immediately vacated the hotel and went to some other hotel in main Wai. So in nutshell we feel unsafe, not properly managed and very far hotel for stay in Wai.
