Banasura Hill resort is the perfect place if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay amidst nature and don't wish to compromise on accommodation, food or cleanliness. The staff was so hospitable and made our stay extremely memorable. The food was delicious and the chef even went out of the way to prepare our personal requests. The children were thrilled with the bonfire and music. The only thing to be prepared for is the long winding drive from and to the airport. The Banasura dam en route is a must-see. Definitely recommend this place!

Just got back from a splendid and rejuvenating stay we had @ Banasura hill resorts.. The owsm blessed weather, the sunrise viewpoint and the beautiful pristine location amid cool nature is simply breathtaking. The one of a kind traditional / earth architecture, warm and cozy room comforts, the use of matching ambiance every where, blended with the use of organic/ eco-friendly hand crafted materials all around.. The trekking route, running river stream nearby, swimming pool with waterfall, lawns and playground, eco friendly roof top solar panel arrays, gives a one of a kind 360 degree international vibe to the property. The setup of dinning area with a full view of the nature (we even saw monkeys dangling on tree tops dining with us..), the taste/aroma of the delicious delicacies (especially the north Indian ones), and lot of other experiences were fabulous and so original. I still cant get it out of my mind (I even met the chef in person and thanked him for bringing back those 2 decade old tastes in my memories.. even my wife was eager to get the recipes..) The recently developed last mile tarred road approach had improved in making the access much more convenient for bigger vehicles. The hospitality and services offered by the hosting staffs (even at the lowest level) was commendable. They were all kind, humble and courteous all the while, and helped us even for little things.. The whole property was well maintained and we couldn't see any dirt / debris anywhere, even when we went out for trekking around the property.. I can't stop myself from sharing such a good experience with others, and give Banasura the best reviews its crew really deserves and increase its rating further.. Its a rarest of the rare.. Truly a must visit place with family..

Loved this place as it gives a feeling as if you are a part of nature. The entire resort is so well maintained. The rooms are pretty beautiful and the food is also amazing. If one is visiting the resort, please ensure you stay for atleast 2 daya as there is a lot to do inside only like nature trail, options for kids, bonfire, ayurveda massage etc.

Its a great place to feel the mist of nature. If you are North Indian please have Kerala style food.... its too good. Me and my wife enjoyed a lot. Room service is nice and you get eternal peace if you are thinking of a relaxing vacation. Liked the Ayurveda Massage and Spa.

Like many people, I love rustic places too. But when a hotel/resort tries to be frugal and bare under the pretension of being rustic, it is not appealing. Firstly, it wasn't easy to find the resort. There is a dam (15 kms away) by the name Banasura, as well as three other lodges. They don't have enough signs on some of the arterial roads leading to the resort, because of which we took an additional 1.5 hours to reach than we should have. Banasura Resort is more like a hermitage, hidden away in thick forest, with minimal amenities. It would be perfect for a honeymooning couple (max of 3 days), or a writer seeking extreme solitude. We fall in neither category, and we found there was precious little to do during the 2.5 days we spent there. A drive to the dame (again, nothing to write home about) takes about 2 hours in total. Other than this, there is no activity at all. A large room supposedly housing some indoor games was empty when we looked in. The rooms are really rustic, walls made of some type of mud, and the rooms have been kept as basic as they come. You do not air conditioning in the weather we went (May, it was raining so quite pleasant), but I wonder how it works out during the summer months. While on the rooms, let me point out some irritants that I experienced. The lighting in the room has been kept really dim, perhaps to reinforce the rustic part. But when lighting is so poor that you need to bring a flashlight to be able to see your face in the mirror (shaving for instance), it starts to get annoying! notwithstanding the fact that visitors to a resort are unlikely to watch any TV, the size of the TV sets provided is pathetic, smaller than my office monitor (about 22"). We had to pull the chairs all the way in front of the TV to be able to watch anything. On the linen provided, I personally like my towels large and thick, and the very thin "cloth" they provide for a towel is barely good to wipe your face before its too wet to be of any further use. And if you're the kind that loves his/her cell phone, you're in for a testing time - there is barely any cellular network available, and the hotel's wifi is extremely weak. Again, something I put down more to frugality, given that there seems to be availability but only the bare minimum has been provided. The resort by itself is in a nice scenic setting, and if you like the sound of the jungle, you can enjoy the various birds/crickets/frogs creating a fascinating orchestra once its turned dark. The thing I have to commend Banasura Resorts for is the fantastic team of staff - from Reception to the House boys, and cooks to the restaurant staff, they are all super friendly and helpful. The food is mostly divine - especially the Kerala Fish Curry and Aviyal which was better prepared than I've found at most places. They have their own bakery too, which offers a great variety of baked items at breakfast, served in a very homely manner with an assortment of Continental and south Indian choices. Overall I did not find it value for money. At a tariff of 8K per night, you certainly expect more... And if you do get brave enough to actually pay them a visit, be sure to experience their super home grown coffee which has mix of spices and natural sugar (Jaggery).
