The place was well situated away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.. a good getaway to spend some quality time. Across the place is a coffee estate where you can take a stroll in the day. Melvin is an amazing guest and knows how to take care of them. He can help you customise and plan for any outing or trips nearby, if you plan in advance. Overall, a great place and a great host. Would definitely recommend this place.

The Homestay is bang opposite a tea garden and thats the first thing you see when you wake up along with the early morning mist or clouds gently rolling across. This view itself is worth the stay. What makes the stay extra special is the kind hospitality of Melvin and his family. We were 4 families with lots of kids with tons of special requests. He did not disappoint us even once. Every request was catered to. He took extra trouble to organise a bonfire at his plantation as well as a spice tour of his plantation. One of the child fell sick and Melvin was kind enough to take the family to a hospital and stayed there untill the child was discharged. Must add a note on the extraordinary food!! From breakfast to Dinner only authentic local food like appam and stew, Parotha, Malabar Biryani, Quail Fry, Beef Fry, String Hoppers, Payasam etc. prepared by Melvins mum and wife. I would go back just for food and the view!!!!

It was a real homestay. All in their family were very kind and friendly. I specifically would like to thank Melvyn and Jeffi. He took us for an estate walk inside his coffe estate and shown us various plantations like coffee, ginger, pepper, Cardamom and fruits like Sweet lime, passion fruit etc. we enjoyed a lot.

Thanks to Melvin & his family,we had a wonderful vacation.Very gracious host. All of us being foodies, he catered to most of our requests. His plantation is beautiful.Delicious authentic Kerala food cooked by his mum & wife. All in all a wonderful Wayanad experience, I definately recommend Melvins Homestay.
