The owner Mr. Rajagopala Menon does not have a clue as to what hospitality at a homestay means. Lousy service; our food requirements for low spice was not met. Room was terrible, not clean and infested with millions of insects. Internet/wifi does not work. Loud noise until midnight keeping us awake. Extra charge for driver's food and coffee Rs2200 was charged, which was okay but our driver was served rotten old stale food, which was not acceptable. We wanted to leave the very next day but the owner refused to refund our money for the remaining 2 days. Stay clear from this place. Access from the main road is awful. You will have to get a mechanic to change your shock absorbers.

My husband, my daughter and myself wanted a break before i joined my new job and so decided to hunt for a place which was far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and in the midst of nature. Both of us have a thing for living close to nature compared to living in luxury hotel which is not very scenic. So we left from Bangalore early in the morning, and it was a good 6 hour drive to Chundale, Wayanad (we stopped in between for deer spotting at Bandipur and breakfast) The road which leads to Turmerica is a little narrow one way passage which is generally the case for most nature locked places. We were welcomed by acres and acres of plantation, beautiful weather (to our luck since it was May and we were expecting it to be humid) and lot of birds This is the first time we were living in a homestay and it was amazing. The hosts Mr Rajagopalan and Ranjini Mam were taking very good care of us, of our needs in terms of the room requirement the food, guiding us to nearby places, while Malvika their daughter was entertaining my daughter. The food was very homely and was customized to our requirements for a child and non spicy food eaters like us. Whenever it comes to planning trips the onus of finding a good place falls on me and so i was hoping its an good enough but it turned out much more beautiful. You need not go anywhere if you are the relaxing type since you can hear the birds all day long, there are few birds in the property itself. You might find more insects here due to being surrounded by nature all around so you might want to be prepared in case..(We had our stint with a large spider on our bed) The cottage that we stayed had an open to sky bathroom so the rain was falling in our bathroom all the time, there was a bit of nature in our room. If you are looking to live in utter beauty and attended by wonderful hosts then this is the place to be. We just wanted to relax so didnt venture out much except visiting pookode lake, boating, and kanthanpara falls and a bit of shopping. At the homestay we had pretty much local specials so didnt go out in search for local cuisines. PS_ forgot to mention about Muthu, he will handle all your requests, find him and talk to him as soon as you reach there.

Lovely one maintained well by Mr. Rajagopal & Mrs.Ranjani. It is not merely a resort or rooms to stay but more than that. It is a Home with all ingredients of what you get at home. Care, Concern, Genuineness, Love & Service. If you prefer to stay in a homely atmosphere, there is nothing better than this. You will never forget your stay and will cherish it forever - Jacob & Kingston

We had booked deluxe double... Which on his site is showing as 17sq meters. Deluxe King is 26 sq meters, which is higher and we used. We booked it directly and made payment confirming that we are getting the same room, which we did and was pretty comfortable. He shld hv told us when he offered us this room. while checking out he took extra payment mentioning that he had given us a better room. Not on a single call this was clarified or mentioned. It is not the question of extra money paid but ethics. also he overcharged for vegetarian dinners.

Tumerica, formerly known as Coffee County, is a beautiful home-stay close to Kalpetta in Wayanad. The property consists of a lush garden surrounding a renovated old British Bungalow that has just the right amount of modern amenities. It is run by a warm, modern Malayali family that really brings your holiday alive with their stories and delicious home-cooked food. The place also has a Badminton court, a swimming pool, a few swans, emus, and a dog. It has something for people of all ages: kids, adults, and senior citizens . We visited this property in February 2017 as a group of eight adults and a toddler. Our stay was a perfect mix of relaxing and doing nothing, and just the right amount of activity to unwind. Our highlights were the conversations around the dining table, games in the swimming pool, and barbecue in the evenings. The hosts (Ranjini, Rajagopal and Malavika) were really warm and kept us entertained throughout the trip. The only slight difficulty we faced was the approach to the property from the main road which is a little bumpy. However it is very picturesque with tea gardens on one side and coffee plantations on the other. It's the perfect build-up to the experience inside the home! Tip: Ask for the rooms with the outdoor bathrooms to further enhance the experience of Wayanad :)
