We had a wonderful time here. Good food, nice accomodation, very helpful host, the view from cottage was spectacular. Vinod the host was really committed to make our stay as easy and lovely as possible. We can certainly recommend this place to anyone. It is even kid-friendly. The admosphere is tranquil and serene.

One of the best places I have ever stayed/visited in Wayanad. If you wanna try an out-of-the-world blissful tranquil environment surrounded by boundless greenery, amazing staff, awesome food (especially vegetarian) and away from all the monotonous run-of-the-mill ordeals pertaining to your daily life - this is your go-to-place. I stayed here during the rainy season (July 2018) with 3 of my best best friends and we did really have a quality time here - because of multiple reasons, of which the most exciting ones are listed below in brief: 1) Unleash the explorer in you - if you are a nature freak you will never run out of to-do things here; wherever you look, you will see green - green is the limit here! Also, the staff, Vinod etan, himself will help you get trip packages, coffee plantation tours, guides, etc. depending on your needs. At walkable distance there is a small pond, a beautiful river and lot of good hiking trails. 2) The high life - the houses are as classy (or even better) and are on top as you can see from the images. If you go in groups, you will feel home-away-from-home with the closely knitted group of houses here. Living here you will get a feel of camping out in the woods and at the same time will have all the facilities offered in international standards/very high quality/modern; its such an awesome combination right? 3) Friendly staff, awesome food , hammocks, card/board games, location and more - Vinod etan and his family, who takes care of the resort were very helpful, friendly, energetic, and accommodating. They gave us one-on-one attention and prepared amazing vegetarian food for us. Also, we were offered hammocks to chill at night and board/card games to have a fun time (which I feel was very thoughtful of them and we are very grateful for that :)). Location wise place is easily reachable (and Vinod etan even provides free pickups ;) if necessary), has lot of parking space, and only three houses are there at the moment and hence you will have a peaceful private space perfect to relax (yoga sessions are also offered at times). In sum, whether you are hanging out with your best buds or traveling with your family or is on a nomadic endeavor, if you have Wayanad in mind, I bet the Suvistara Resort will be your best retreat option! However, remember that there are only 3 houses open at the moment and so don't wait, make your claim as soon as Wayanad visit you in your dreams! ^_^

Stayed at The Suvistara for two nights with family in two rooms, in mid-April 2018, during the Vishu weekend. As for journey, the stretch from Bengaluru to this resort was a breeze and could make it in under 6 hours with breaks (including stops due to state election checkpoints). Both the rooms were clean and well-kept with AC and TV, including the bathrooms with both hot and cold water as well as toiletries. Being in a rustic ambiance, the cleanliness maintained around was truly acceptable, except for the flies/insects that get into rooms if doors and windows aren't closed early. Coming to food, all dishes are prepared at an outside kitchen and delivered to the resort, so will have to order menu well in advance. Most of the dishes, especially Kerala cuisine, were of good taste and quality barring a few items which were cold and average when served. Food pricing, for the most part, was reasonable. There is enough place for the kids as well as adults to play (badminton, football, cricket, etc). Can choose to visit a couple of tourist attractions from this resort (we did Banasura dam) or take a walk to the close by stream with the help of Mr. Vinod - the host. Nights instill a kind of forest feel, with no signs of habitation around, and can be appealing for those who prefer late night activities. Overall, a beautiful place for couples/families along with kids to spend some quality time away from a busy lifestyle, though we felt service could have been better if Mr. Vinod had a helping hand (maybe since it was Vishu, a local holiday in Kerala, he was the only one managing and running around for everything despite an injured leg). One star out of the four exclusively for him a kind, well-mannered, and hardworking host. Would genuinely recommend a stay here to experience Wayanad at its best with a touch of exceptional hospitality.

We stayed for a couple of nights. And to be very precise the stay was amazing. From the ambience to the cleanliness of the rooms, the location & the food. Everything was just perfect. The drive to the resort is equally amazing. Enjoyed the walk & time spent at the stream within the resort all thanks to Mr. Vinod. The cottages are setup amidst coffee plantation & you wake up to a beautiful sunrise to the chirping of the birds, the best & refreshing start to the day. Mr. Vinod is a very warm & welcoming person & you wouldn't have a single dull moment even if you spend the entire day at the resort. Five stars to Mr. Vinod & Suvistara to make our trip to Wayanad really memorable.

We had a wonderful 3 day (extended to 4 after reaching)stay at Suvistara. The resort is in a quiet , peaceful location inside a huge pepper and coffee plantation. The rooms were at par with any top rated star hotel. The rooms are in the first floor so a beautiful balcony view welcomes you.The lush greenery accompanied by the fresh air and calm are most valued , especially for us who came from Bangalore. The host Mr.Vinod is a friendly gentleman who immediately put us at ease, being tired after a long winding drive through the woods. He helped us with our travel queries and was always ready for any assistance required. We enjoyed our stay here , especially the nature walk around the estate with abundant trees of jack fruit ,avocado, mango, coffee and many others. The star attraction was a stream passing through. The gushing water on a really huge rocky bed , but safe enough for my 9 year old to wade along and have the most fun.Giving us company was Vinod's daughter of about the same age, so my daughter made a new friend and looked forward to the play times. We went out during the day and had lunch outside.Breakfast and dinner was at the resort which was based on our preferences and we were treated to some very tasty,home-made, authentic Kerala dishes. The unique layout of the rooms is quite interesting , kids had there space and were visible at the same time. They played caroms and other board games in their room. Badminton and archery were the outdoor games they enjoyed. I would end by saying its a place where one can go to forget the city and the daily stress and relax and rejuvenate completely with family and friends.
