One of the most amazing experiences we had. We came for 3 days, stayed for 10. Ziro is amazing, very authentic and not touristic, and you have a chance to meet ancient isolated tribes. Abasa home stay is a beautiful place, with a balcony overlooking an amazing views, super hospitable family, which we felt part of. If you can - go there. You will remember it for life

If you are interested in being with a real Apatani family, albeit with some comforts thrown in, this place is for you. It is a 15-minute, quite a bumpy drive from the main town. So, if you are not having your own vehicle (we didn't), it is a tad difficult to get there. You might need to contact the hosts for help. The homestay, since it is outside the town, is set in a pristine location. The rooms are adequately furnished. The hosts have their own farm and would be happy to let you see it. My son really loved it there, since he is quite an outdoorsy person. However, there was no TV in our room and we preferred it that way. The food is typical Apatani fare and though non-vegetarian food is awesome, they have a lot of vegan options too. There are few villages near the homestay and you can also rent a vehicle and visit some of the places of interest. The only con was that the restroom was not maintained well and this is a point the hosts need to take note. The cost is INR 1500/person/day with breakfast and dinner included. This is a place where you can sit, relax, read a book on their bright porch, go for long walks in the lovely weather, or play with the resident friendly canine, Cheeku. If you want a cozy place to relax and rejuvenate, this is perfect.

I was here in May 2015. I read about this place on TA when I was coming to ziro. The place was clean and the folks looking after it were great as well. Since I couldnt afford to stay at this place and since I was quite hungry the guys were kind enough to make me some breakfast before I went on to look for a place which could fit under my budget. Its not a restaurant fyi. Its expensive for solo travelers but if you're family and in twos then simply go for it!

We stayed here for 3 nights in December 2015. What a lovely place with a warm welcome from a very friendly family. Really good home cooked food with fresh veg from the garden and even home made jam for breakfast. A bonus was the walk we did with some of the family on the sunday afternoon If you go to Ziro in wintertime, it's worth remembering to wrap up warm

We had heard a lot about this home stay. Couple of times i even reccomended my friends. But only in october 2014 i had the opportunity be here with my family. It is ur own home like experience but jst away from home. The village siiro itself is a beautiful place away frm the ziro. And this home stay ABASA can make our stay more memoriable with authentic good traditional food. Clean n neat yet small room. Njoy the experience.
