Prior independence, this state was included in Hyderabad, which was under the rule of Nizams. This region was declared as a state on June 02, 2014 after quite a tussle between Andhra Pradesh and the national administration. Though the Union Government agreed on giving it a separate identity as a state, the state government opposed it for the sake of territorial integrity. As per reports, more than 41 per cent population of Andhra Pradesh lived in this region. All the conflicts are settled now, making it a treat for holiday vacations.
