The Agra Municipal Corporation has a lot of local A/C and non-A/c buses connecting the various places of interest in and around Agra City. Many of these buses are available from Agra Cantonment Railway Station. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department also has a lot of buses to the many offbeat monuments and tombs in Agra.
Prepaid taxi/autorickshaw booths are available outside most railway stations, in Agra. Hiring a taxi from these booths will give you a good idea of the fare to different places. Please note that these rates will not include booking fees and toll/parking charges.
You have the option of renting out a car, during your tour of Agra. There are various car rental companies that offer budget, standard, semi-deluxe and luxury cars, both self-driven and chauffeur-driven, for your service. If you are a motorbike enthusiast, you can choose to rent out your favourite model of motorbike, as you tour around the city.
There is currently no metro service available in Agra.
Local trains do not ply in Agra
