Located on the bank of Gomti River on the western shore of the Okhamandal Peninsula, the city of Dwaraka, in terms of administration, is one of the four talukas of the Devbhumi Dwarka district newly carved out of the Jamnagar district of Gujarat. It is surrounded by the Gulf of Kutch, Arabian sea, Jamnagar, and Porbandar districts. The city is facilitated with hospitals, police station and railway station but it is not the district headquarter (which is at Khambalia). It is a municipality.
