Intra-city buses in Jaipur are provided by Jaipur Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRTS). This organisation has a huge fleet of buses and has significantly reduced traffic problems. Plans of expanding the service are currently being undertaken.
Online transportation services such as Ola Cabs and Uber are becoming popular. There are also a number of private cab services such as Metro Cabs and Rajputana Cabs, providing service day-in and day-out. Like most other cities in India, auto rickshaws are also quite popular.
Rental services are very popular among both tourists as well as residents. Some of the well-known car rental services are Jaipur Car Rental, Clear Car Rental and Savaari. Bikes are also provided on rent by private companies such as Wicked Ride and Shri Gokul Motors.
Jaipur Metro began its services on June 3, 2015. It is one of the fastest metro systems in India and the sixth largest, after Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Gurgaon and Mumbai. There are plans to expand the network.
