Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation operates buses from Shirdi to all neighbouring towns and can be used for daily transport. They range from luxury buses, deluxe buses to ordinary buses. The temple authority (Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust) runs buses from the railway station to the temple that are free of cost.
Auto Rickshaws serve as the most popular mode of transport in Shirdi. They are found everywhere in the city. Private cab companies like Shirdi Sai Yatra Cabs, Shirdi Car Rental are also widely used. Cabs can be used to get around temple, for temple visits and also for heading outside the city.

There is no metro rail system in Shirdi.
The Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station belongs to Central Railways of Indian Railways. It is a good option for travelling to and from Shirdi but not recommended for getting around town and for visiting the temple and other sights.
Shirdi is a small town. Because the town has developed around its most important attraction, the Sai Baba temple, almost all other major sights are within walking distance of each other and the temple.
