Udupi is nestled in the southwestern part of Karnataka on the Konkan coast and has tropical weather. The temperatures don’t change drastically over the seasons although the winters and the monsoons are a bit more pleasant. The average highs within the summers range reside within the mid-30s although in certain years it can go up to 40°C. The minimums during this time stay around 25°C. In the winters temperatures come down to around 30 - 32°C for highs and around 21°C for lows. Rainfall is very heavy during the monsoons, which last from June to October with July having over 1200 mm of rain on an average.
