The temperature during the winters (December to February) ranges between 10 to 30 degree Celcius, quite pleasant from the blistering 40 degrees Celcius in summer. Many festivals are arranged during this season such as the Lumbini festival in December; while in January, a three-day extravaganza of the Sanskriti festival along with the annual Vijayawada Book Festival are held. February welcomes the Deccan festival which goes on for five days including the Kuchipudi Festival hosted by the Kuchipudi Village and the annual Craft Bazaar organized in one of the winter months.
