Sealdah Railway Station in Kolkata is one of the busiest railway stations in India and also serves as a crucial suburban rail terminal. Established in 1869, it served as a tram station until 1978. Sealdah is divided into 3 terminals: Sealdah Main with 8 platforms, Sealdah North with 5 platforms, and Sealdah South with 7 platforms.
