About Thrissur Railway Station

One of the busiest railway stations in Kerala, Thrissur Railway Station (TCR) serves the city of Thrissur. TCR Railway Station includes three satellite stations:  Punkunnam Railway Station, Ollur Railway Station, and Mulankunnathukavu Railway Station. The railway station comes under Southern Railway Zone of the Trivandrum railway division. The railway line consists of single broad gauge, starting from Thrissur and ending at Guruvayur in Thrissur District of Kerala. Former Prime Minister of India, Narasimha Rao, inaugurated the first phase of the Thrissur-Guruvayur section on January 9, 1994. TCR Railway Station offers many facilities for the convenience of passengers, including 5 non-reservation ticket counters located in the east side of the railway station and 2 in the west direction, 10 automatic ticket machines, and 4 separate ticket reservation counters for long distance trains. Other facilities include both A/C and non A/C waiting rooms, food counters, ATM, and cark parking facilities. Additionally, a foot over bridge, drinking water vending machine, and display boards also have been installed at the TCR Railway Station.
