Q. What are the important guidelines to travel in AirAsia Flights during Covid-19 pandemic?
All domestic flights will resume from 25th May 2020, follow the below guidelines before starting your travel with AirAsia -
- Ensure AirAsia Web Check In to obtain boarding pass
- Reach Airport before 2 hours of travel
- Download Aarogya Setu App and fill self declaration form
- Collect safety kit, mask, face shield, sanitiser near the boarding gate
- Use Mask, Gloves & Hand Sanitiser for safety
- Follow Social distancing throughout the journey
- Use Digital payment and Authorized taxis for travel

Q. Who should not be allowed to travel in AirAsia flights during Covid-19?
A. Passengers with ailments, pregnant ladies and those with red status on the Aarogya Setu app will not be allowed to travel in AirAsia flights

A. For safety concern Newspapers/magazines and food items will not be allowed in AirAsia Flights
Q. How do I do web check in on an AirAsia flight?
A. Login to your AirAsia account and click on check-in. There you need to further click on check-in now. This will lead you into its web checkin page. But before you check-in, make sure you have retrieved your booking and are ready with the details. Further on, key in your city of departure followed by your booking number and your surname. When you hit ‘search’, it will show you the seating plan and allow you to check-in. This facility is available between 14 days to an hour ahead of your scheduled departure.
Q. Are there any restrictions for web check-in on an AirAsia flight?
A. There are a few. You need to identify yourself at the check-in counters or the boarding gate if you are pregnant, travelling with an infant who is 8-days old or younger, feel your mobility is affected or require any special assistance, you are under 16 years and are travelling alone, and you have a medical condition.
Q. What is the baggage limit on an AirAsia flight?
A. You are allowed two pieces of carry-on baggage made up of one cabin baggage that does not exceed 56cm X 36cm X 23cm and fits into the overhead storage compartment. And one laptop bag or a handbag or a small bad that does not exceed 40cm X 30cm X 10cm. This needs to fit under the seat in front of you. The total weight of both the items should not exceed 7kg. For check-in baggage you are allowed 15kg on domestic flights. But on international flights, there are several slabs such 20kg, 25kg, 30kg and 40kg that are chargeable depending on your destination.
