Scoot Airlines check-in services
With Scoot Airlines, passengers have the options of airport check-in, web check-in, self-service kiosk check-in and mobile check-in.
Check-in for Scoot flights before arriving at the airport with their web check-in facility. The Scoot Airlines web check-in
is available from 72 hours to 1 (one) hour ahead of the flights’ departure. Once you are through with the web check-in, you can skip the counters and head straight to the departure area.
Airport check-in counters open 3 (three) hours before departure for B787 flights, and 2.5 hours before departure for A320 flights. All counters close 60 minutes ahead of the flights’ departure. Guests are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 (two) hours before departure so that the check-in procedures complete on time.
Self-service check-in is made at the auto check-in kiosks at selected airports including Singapore Changi Airport and Melbourne Tullamarine Airport.
Cabin and carry on baggage
Passengers travelling on Economy seats are permitted to carry up to 10 kg of cabin baggage on board, limited to a maximum of 2 (two) pieces. The cabin baggage should be within the dimensions of 54 cm x 38 cm x 23 cm. Those flying on ScootPlus category seats can take up to 15 kg of cabin baggage, limited to a maximum of 2 (two) pieces. Each cabin baggage must not exceed dimensions of 54 cm x 38 cm x 23 cm.
The minimum weight for checked baggage is 20 kg while 40 kg is the maximum allowance. However, your baggage allowance will depend on the type of fare you have purchased. Basic fares such as Fly and Fly-Promo do not include complimentary baggage allowance. Passengers need to purchase a minimum baggage allowance of 20 kg and up to 40 kg for an additional fee, which can be done during the Scoot Airlines online booking
. ScootPlus fare allows a free checked baggage allowance of up to 30 kg. Additional baggage can be purchased up to 4 (four) hours before the departure, online or through the airlines’ call centre.
