The airport operates more than 31 airlines and serves 29 international and 50 domestic destinations. The total passenger traffic recorded at the airport in the year 2016 was around 22.7 million. Brisbane Airport was ranked as the number 1 airport in terms of quality of service for 10 years in a row (2005-2014) by the Consumer Commission and Australian Competition. It was also awarded IATA award and ranked as the 3rd best airport in the world in the category of 20-30 million annual passengers. Brisbane Airport has two passenger terminals: Domestic Terminal and International Terminal. The international terminal, built in 1995, has four levels. The domestic terminal has two floors and an extended area for several lounges and airline gates.
