Copenhagen Airport is one of the oldest international airports in Europe. Initially, it was called as Kastrup Airport and was renamed as Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup. Terminal Trivia

Copenhagen international Airport currently boasts of two terminals, namely Terminal 2 and 3. In 2016, both the terminals handled a whopping traffic of 29 million domestic and international passengers. Previously, Terminal 1 was used to handle the departure of all domestic flights, but since March 2015, all departures are handled by Terminal 2 and 3, collectively. Check-in desks are in Terminal 2 and customs and baggage claim is in Terminal 3.

A new section CPH GO has been opened in October 2010, which dedicatedly handles low-cost flights like EasyJet, Transavia, and Ryanair.

Shop, Eat, and Relax

At Copenhagen International Airport, you can shop till you drop. The arrival and departure terminal is lined-up with shops selling gifts, children’s clothing, toys, fashion, electronics, luggage and travel accessories, jewelry, and watches. You can also pre-order your goods from the hotel and pick them at the airport.

There are many options to grab some food and refreshments while you wait for your flight, such as bars, cafes, and restaurants. Plenty of lounges are available for the passengers to unwind. Transport Facilities

Like any other world-class international airport, Copenhagen Airport enjoys the services of nearly all modes of transportation. An array of bus lines to and from Copenhagen city center makes the airport easily accessible. Free terminal buses regularly operate between the terminals. The Line 5A, Line 35, and Line 36 connect areas like Skottegårdsskolen, Sundbyvester Plads, Amagerbro St., Central Station, A.P. Møllers Alle, Dr Byen Station, Korsvejens Skole, and Nøragersmindevej to the airport. Other bus lines and services are Line 888, Line 999, and charter buses.

Train and metro are other alternatives. The tickets of train and metro can be purchased from the DSB ticket office, located at Terminal 3. Pick-up and drop-off services are provided by taxies to and from Copenhagen Airport. Drop-off points are outside Terminal 2 and 3, and pick-up point is outside Terminal 3. There is a host of car rental service providers like Avis, Sixt, Europcar, Hertz, Budget, and Enterprise, offering a car of your choice and need.
