Istanbul Atatürk Airport is the main international airport of Istanbul, Turkey. Located in Yesilköy, 24 km from the city center, the airport was earlier called Yesilköy Airport. The airport had a total annual passenger traffic of 60,119,215 in the year 2016, which gave it the 14th rank in the world in terms of passenger traffic, and also the rank of the 5th busiest airport in Europe. Istanbul Airport has two passenger terminals connected to each other. The domestic terminal is the smaller and older terminal.
