Boston to Las Vegas Flights – From America's Walking City to the Entertainment Capital of the World
The Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas, is synonymous with a zappy nightlife merging with the day, busy casinos, plush eateries, non-stop shopping, amazing shows, and penthouse suites. The city’s bright lights and sounds give a sensory overload, while the live night entertainment, swanky hotels, and mega casino complexes are akin to a fantasy. Vegas has history and offbeat experiences, discoverable in the “Freemont Street Experience” in old downtown. This fun street is lined with hotels, shops and casinos under a canopy that transforms into a huge screen for night audio and video shows. The famous Strip is a north/south street with large casino-hotels, and marked by the Stratosphere tower. Walking along the Strip is a fun way to get a feel of the real Vegas.
Did you know? It is estimated that at least 1,000 people live in underground tunnels, beneath Vegas! Also, when viewed from outer space, the Las Vegas Strip is the brightest place on Earth.
How to reach Las Vegas from Boston
Las Vegas has one major McCarran International Airport, and a smaller reliever airport few miles south of McCarran called Henderson Executive Airport. Several airlines like Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, American Airlines, Sun Country, and Virgin America have frequent flights from Boston to Vegas.
From McCarran airport, you can go into the city via numerous buses/shuttle bus services, taxis, rental cars or limousine services. Buses operate from McCarran to the South Terminal, where you can get on to ‘Deuce’, a public transport bus that crosses the Strip. Best time to travel to Las Vegas
Spring (March-May) is the best time, with pleasant weather and cool evenings. Vegas has fewer visitors at this time, so reasonably-priced hotel rooms are available. Autumn in Vegas (September-November) is great, as heat begins fading and crowds thin out. Temperatures are comfortable through September and October, and winter sets in by November. June to August is peak summer, the worst time to visit. Day temperatures go as high as 41°C, early mornings and evenings are cooler. July and August experience some short-lived rain showers. Nevertheless, summer remains a popular visit time, so hotel rates are slightly higher. Vegas winter (December-February) can get chilly. Excellent weather and lively parties make it a great time to visit. The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is in December.
Delta offers Wi-Fi where available, complimentary Delta Studio entertainment, diet/religious friendly meals, and facilities for children, pets and differently-abled passengers. American Airlines permits cats and dogs (breed restrictions) as carry-on, check in or to transport with airline cargo, as per pet size/breed/needs. United Airlines passengers can travel with cats/rabbits/small dogs/birds accompanied in the aircraft on certain flights.
