Delhi to Jeddah Flights Details

Jeddah, a port city on the coasts of the Red Sea, is a commercial, cultural and entertainment hub in Saudi Arabia. It is the gateway to the pilgrimage cities of Mecca and Medina. There are many historical sites, souks and beaches that can be explored during a trip to this city. It has an array of attractions, such as King Fahd's Fountain, Jeddah Corniche and Naseef House. Apart from these attractions, Jeddah is a prominent commercial hub of the country and hordes of people come here from different parts of the world, including India. Therefore, many carriers provide New Delhi to Jeddah flights.

Flight Options
On an average, over 120 flights, both non-stop and connecting, are in service to Jeddah from New Delhi. Though most of these flights take one-stop, few of them take two layovers before reaching Jeddah. The flights are operated by several airlines, including Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, Oman Air, Emirates, Safi Airways, IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Jet Airways, Saudia and SriLankan Airlines. New Delhi and Jeddah are approximately 3900 km from each other and this aerial distance can be covered in 6 hours by a non-stop flight. Whereas connecting flights take an average time of 18 hours to reach Jeddah. Some frequent layovers on this journey are Bahrain, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Colombo, Kuwait City and Riyadh.

Average Cost
There are many factors responsible for determining the cost of a flight ticket, such as layover destinations, travelling class and date of travelling. The price can hike significantly during the holy month of Ramadan. Ticket prices for New Delhi to Jeddah flights usually start around INR 17000, offered by Air Arabia. A non-stop flight on this route will cost you around INR 25000. Biman Bangladesh Airlines offers the costliest economy class ticket at the price of INR 152000. On the other hand, flydubai offers the cheapest business class ticket for INR 27500. You can check the cheapest flight tickets using the Lowest Fare Finder tool featured on Yatra.com.

Flight Schedule
The first flight for King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah Airport) (JED) in Jeddah, departs at 12:20 am, and takes a layover in Dammam. Air India offers the last air service of the day at 11:00 pm. This flight includes a layover at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM). Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, operates a non-stop flight at 8:00 pm. The national flag carrier, Air India, often has flights at 12:20 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, 8:00 pm and, finally at 11:00 pm.

Other Options
There is a possibility that tickets are unavailable during the Ramadan month or at times, when you start looking for them late. In such circumstances, you can look for some alternative airport. For instance, instead of making a flight booking to JED, you can fly to Ta'if Airport (TIF). It is situated at an approximate distance of 205 km from Jeddah and can be reached easily by taxi in just 2 hours and 15 minutes. More than 110 flights are operated from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Ta'if by many carriers, including Air Arabia, Emirates, Jet Airways, Gulf Air and Air India.

There was no IFE and no beverage service not even juice and cold drinks . Can't believe Air India is star alliance. Pathetic service and the worst part was that Air India operate narrow body on this international sector and with just two toilets for more than 150 passengers.

The carry-on baggage limit for Business class should be 12 kg (not 7 kg which is same as for Economy Class) In Business class, preferably a menu card with available food choices should be provided like in other airlines.

Everything else was OK, but the problem started at Riyadh when i went to check in. the counter clerk said i was not allowed to take 30kg, not allowed in fly Nas. While it was clearly mentioned that I could carry 30 kg in both jet airways and flynas. I think, you need to talk to Flynas personnels to either book transit passenger in connceting flynas or decline on certain grounds. i faced huge problem and i was asked to pay SR 150 for ten kg extra according to flynas. thanks
