The flight was delayed by 9 hours, and little advance notice of the delay was given. Even after arriving at the delayed time, passengers were made to wait a good hour before boarding. Singapore Airlines did make the effort to provide us with refreshments and even a souvenir, which was considerate. Because of the delay, I missed my connecting flight and was made to wait another eight hours, after which I got onto my final flight to Auckland. As if things were not bad enough, they hadn't taken note of my request for a vegetarian meal on the new flight, and the in flight crew had to scramble to provide me with a substitute meal, which was no fault of theirs, and they were very accommodating. On the positive side, the food was delicious, the crew was very friendly, the in flight facilities were good and I would probably fly with them again, despite the setbacks.
