DETAILED DAY WISE ITINERARY
Day 1 - Arrival in Tallinn
Welcome to Tallinn! On arrival at Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, be greeted by a Yatra representative who will help you with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel in Tallinn. Check-in at the hotel and spend the day unwinding from the long flight.
Day 2 - City Tour of Tallinn
City tour of Tallinn, a picturesque old city, where whole districts date back to the Middle Ages. You will visit the Old Town with its quaint
narrow streets and beautiful merchants' houses exemplifying the best of Gothic architecture. The tour includes Toompea Castle, the 13th
century Dome church, the 19th century Russian orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevskij, the 15th century town Hall square, the Old Guild built to celebrate Tallinn's membership in the Hanseatic League, and St. Olaf's church. Continue tour to Song Festival Grounds, Pirita
recreation area, the Yachting Centre and the ruins of St Birgit`s Monastery.
Day 3 - Tallinn to Riga
Rise and shine and pack your bags for your next destination. Have a tasty breakfast and complete your check-out formalities in Tallinn. Our representative will pick you up from the hotel for your trip to Riga by road. The trip to Riga is an approximate 4-hour drive and will take you through the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu, to forests in the North Estonian land. A journey to Riga from Tallinn is a treat for the eyes. Reach Riga in the afternoon, check-into your hotel in Riga and spend time at leisure.
Day 4 - Riga City Tour
Sightseeing Tour begins with driving along the central boulevards of Riga, enjoying the view of the City Canal parks, the Bastion Hill, the
Powder Tower, the Latvian National Theatre, the Fine Arts Museum, the Art Nouveau buildings of the beginning of the century, the Freedom Monument erected in 1935 to celebrate Latvia's independence, university of Latvia, the Opera House, and Daugava River with its bridges. During the walking part of the tour you will enjoy the beauty of the ancient Hanseatic city, while strolling through the cobble-stone, picturesque streets of the Old Town. In Old Riga you will see the Dome Cathedral which boasts one of the world’s largest pipe organs, St. Peter's Church with magnificent views of the city from its steeple, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, the architectural ensemble Three Brothers, St. Jacob’s Church, the Parliament House, Old Riga Castle, and view the many wonderfully restored buildings, now
housing cozy restaurants, cafes, bars and souvenir shops."
Day 5 - Riga to Vilnius
In the morning, have your breakfast and keep your luggage ready. Then, check out from your hotel in Riga and get prepared for Vilnius. Embark on a 4-hour drive to Vilnius via A7 and A2 road. On this route, you will go through the country roads and might get a glimpse of notable landmarks such as the Hill of the Crosses. Upon reaching Vilnius, check-into your hotel room. You can spend the day at leisure or explore the surroundings.
Day 6 - Sightseeing tour of Vilnius
During sightseeing in Vilnius visit Old town of Vilnius (St. Anna's Church, ST. Peter's and Paul's Church, the Cathedral, University, Gates
of Dawn). The Old Town, which is included to the UNESCO World Heritage List, looks like a maze of small streets. In the centre of the Old Town stands the Cathedral with a bell tower. It occupies the site of an ancient pagan temple to the God Perkunas and originally lay within
the fortification system of the Lower Castle. In the narrow old streets one will see numerous pieces of historical heritage, like St. Anna's Church - a gem of Gothic architecture. The first church at this site, constructed of wood, was built for Anna, Grand Duchess of Lithuania, the first wife of Vytautas the Great. Originally intended for the use of Catholic Germans and other visiting Catholics, it was destroyed by a fire in 1419. The present brick church was constructed on the initiative of Grand Duke of Lithuania Alexander in 1495–1500 the exterior of the church has remained almost unchanged since then. Visit Gediminas Castle. The red brick tower is now all that remains of
the Higher Castle. Dating back to the 13th century, the castle was rebuilt in 1419 by the Grand Duke Vytautas following the great fire of
Vilnius which caused damage equal to 60,000 silver pieces.
Day 7 - Vilnius to Belarus
Start your day with a mouth-watering breakfast and then, pack your bags. Check-out of the hotel and get set for Belarus. Belarus is just 230 km away from Vilnius and would take around 3 hours to reach. Commence your short road trip from Vilnius to Belarus via WWI Battlefield Area. This trip gives you an insight into WWI and its effect on the locale. After an informative ride, arrive at the capital city of Belarus - Minsk. Check-in at your respective rooms at the hotel and spend the day at leisure.
Day 8 - Minsk City Tour
You will see the capital’s main monuments and places of interest: The National Library building, Victory Square with
its 38-meter obelisk and the eternal flame commemorating the heroes of World War II, the Trinity suburb and the Afghanistan War
Monument on the Island of Tears, the Upper town, the Catholic and Orthodox Cathedrals, Independence Square with the House of Government, the KGB historical office, the Residence of the President, the Ice Hockey Arena and a football stadium, etc. Thematic trip to the Museum of antique Belarusian crafts “Dudutki”. This fascinating journey includes excursions, attractions and fine food await you. You will be able to taste fresh home-baked bread with a village butter and herbal tea at baker’s and miller’s. There will also be home-distilled vodka at the brewery, traditional cheese and, of course, famous Belarusian bacon with cabbage. A wood crafting master, a potter and a blacksmith will share the secrets of their craftsmanship and show their best during the master class. At the end, everyone will be offered to go for a ride in a horse cart
Day 9 - Departure
This is your last day of the trip. You will be travelling back home today. Have a tasty breakfast and check out from your hotel in Minsk. Reach the airport to catch your flight home. We are sure you would have made some unforgettable memories on this 9-day trip that you will cherish forever
