Guangzhou's tram system currently consists of a single line between Canton Tower and Wanshengwei, along the northern shore of Haizhu Island. The entire line is around 7.7 kilometres in length. Water bus lines operate on the Pearl River, which acts as a natural highway for the city. These ferries are enjoyable for the tourists and equally practical for local residents. There are 9 piers across the cityscape.
Guangzhou city's most prominent trekking destination is the Baiyun Mountain which rewards climbers with sweeping views of the city below. The cable car rides are also a popular attraction. Other trekking options are further away in other locations of the province, Nanling National Forest being one of the many popular spots.
