Male International Airport, also known as Ibrahim Nasir International Airport is located on the nearby Hulhule Island in the North Male Atoll. It provides global connectivity to the Maldives with several major global airlines operating flights out of it. The airport itself has three terminals, one for International flights, the second one for domestic flights, and then the third one for four seaplane lanes. Male International is generally considered the most feasible option for tourists coming from other parts of the world. It is also the hub for the national carrier of the Maldives, the Maldivian, and flyMe, which is another domestic airline operating in the Maldives.
Nearest Airport: Male International Airport is located on the neighbouring Hulhule Island and is a 30-minute ferry ride from the capital Male.
Safety Suggestion: Reaching Male is easy with the International Airport operating flights all year round. The only time the airport had shut in recent times was during the Tsunami of 2004.
There are no bus services connecting Male to other locations owing to the island nature of the city.
Journey Suggestion: Owing to the island nature of Male city, it is not connected to other places by road.
Male has no railway service.
